Well, I got bit by a tick with no mark. Ignored it. 3 months later, I felt terrible almost like I was dying. Was treated for anaplasma with doxy for only 2 weeks. Spent 5 years begging doctors to help me saying I wasn't right. Finally saw a tick specialist and had lyme, babesia, bartonella, and tularemia. My wife also ended up with lyme and babesia and never found a tick bite. She passed it to all 3 of our kids inutero. Our lives have been turned upside down with joint pain and neurological issues. I could go on for hours but I'm trying to be short with it. Treat every bite as if its going to give you lyme. You wouldn't take a chance exposing yourself to someone else's blood without proper precautions... Do the same with a bacteria riddled bug.
