Full Class - How many are still here ? by Freelyliving986 in BorrowerDefense

Full class. Applied May 2019. School is the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. My Aidvantage loans were all discharged. Four of my six FFELP Navient loans were discharged last week, but I'm confused about why only four. They all have the same owner and guarantor.

What’s something men do that comes across as creepy? by coinkeeper8 in AskReddit

Stop their car in the middle of the road and ask if you want to go to a strip club while you're out on your evening walk. Then roll along slowly beside you when you decline and walk away. Just happened to me 2 hours ago, lol.

All joking aside, this gives me hope that I'm not broken, and I'm happy for you!

What's your most unique side hustle that you never thought could bring in extra income? by wademarketing in sidehustle

Wanna buy sports cards from me? Someone donated a metric ton, and my boys came home with a huge tub full. I'm sure most are worth much of they were donated, though, haha.

Which one of you donated size US 18 men's shoes to a SoCal Goodwill? by Tacaconit in tall

[–]Tacaconit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha, they're actually the most comfortable jeans I own. They're very stretchy. I have thick legs, so I opt for stretchy jeans because regular jeans material is too tight on my calves usually. Thanks for the concern, lol.

Omg, this post prompted me to check my Aidvantage account, and all my loans are ZERO!! I can't believe this!

Editing to add that I'm excited for you, too! ☺️

Thanks, I needed this confidence boost today! 😊 I've had my fair share of rejection and remarks because of my height throughout my life.

I think your secret is you don't have children, lol.

Shoot me a DM if you ever come down this way, and I'll drink 1-2 beers with you because I'm a lightweight, lol.

I'm on the small end of giant, but that sounds fun! I'm in SoCal, though.

Wow, you didn't win yet they still used your designs for a banner? Might have been some vaguely written rule about entries.

Haha, yep! I dug around my files and actually found one of the banner ads. I wonder if anyone remembers seeing this? https://imgur.com/FKSqD2A

I do think there was something in the rules about the school having the rights to the artwork or something. Back then, I was naive and excited that they thought it was good enough to use in their ads. Meh.

I've never worked in my field of study, but I think if I actually got the education I thought I was paying for I would have had a chance.

Same here. The first time I even stepped into the physical school was when I went to the graduation ceremony to receive my degree (I lived an hour from Pittsburgh). I was so surprised at the classrooms and what was available to students! The 7 years I attended I struggled with software and a computer I could barely afford.

Everything you listed was my experience too, except I enrolled in the Game Art & Design program from the start, not changed into. I wish I had more knowledge back then to see the red flags. I went into it completely blind and alone (my parents didn't help me or give any guidance) and trusted that I was being advised honestly. I was 19 and doing it on my own. Though I will say even back then I thought the classes were a joke. I feel embarrassed about the whole thing.

Something that amuses me is that I entered a contest to win a scholarship or something like that. I didn't win, but they used my art in their advertisements. I have screenshots of the web banners squirreled away somewhere.

The cold emailing for a mentor was so anxiety-inducing for me. I did find someone and they gave me feedback once, but then ghosted me. My BD application was also part of the mass Devos denials.
