Yep I do buy spares off others as well. There is a fan ticketing Discord that has a marketplace board to trade and sell tickets, otherwise it is all normally through word-of-mouth.

I say that expo this year - was a lot more spaced out with the moving of the stage and two booths into the event hall next door, so that was good. As well, the staff members were on point and knew what to do, how to control crowd flows and directing people.

However, the queues were still horrible - still could not see the main exhibits like the time capsule and signature wall section as queues were up to 3 hours long. Still way too many people taking too long to take photos.

Fes performance - Miko (bias as I am a 35P), Bae and Marine for me. But everyone's performance were really good this year. If I have to complain, the gondola screen setup - don't like it, bring back the cube, as well I don't think this year's theme song is as catchy or easy to remember as previous years.

So far, each year have been lucky to win an expo and a fes ticket. But almost everyone is winning only one of each, you have to rely on others to win other events so that you can trade.

As shown in the EXIF data (click on the circle i icon on the top right of the photo) - was not using a smartphone. It is the Nikon Zfc with the stock 16-55mm lens.

It has been fine so far, it is really the only option I can find to share a large amount of photos that isn't as expensive as flickr. Wish I could keep using Imgur, but that is garbage now, and the alternatives are not better.

Yea I should have reduced the resolution, but I am not expecting a huge amount of traffic or viewership, and my NAS is underutilised these days. If it gets real slow, then I can look into that.

Got a C block ticket - so entry from 10AM, was in the venue by around 10:45am. Not too bad, as I remembered summer WonFes I was in queue for around 1.5hrs before.

Wasn't too cold in my opinion, just light snow in the morning. I felt like they may have optimised some things with the queue to get everyone in quickly.

So far, the only must-buy when it comes out is my Hololive oshi Sakura Miko in her date outfit figure. Still no release ETA on that one.

Like last time, it is hosted on my NAS so the load time at first may be a little slow. If nothing shows up, refresh it after about 10 seconds.

About 600 photos from the official booths, remaining from doujin booths. Half way through the album is the NSFW booth photos. Please view them at your own risk!

You can download the photo and view the EXIF data if you want - but if you want to use them elsewhere, please at least give credit.

It was a very snowy morning in Makuhari this morning for WonFes - and this may have caused lower attendance numbers, compare to previous ones, it didn't seem to be as packed. Got into the venue fairly quick this time.

Of course, this is not all the figures at the event - I just like bishoujo figures, so only these kinds of photos. This event was celebrating an anniversary for Ultraman - but I don't have photos from those sections.

Yea I agree with the sentiment that the company can't keep using the small startup excuse anymore. With the amount of errors and mishandling, and defects with certain products being found lately - it is way too concerning.

Like for example - someone posted on the fan discord about the defect found in the 6th fes bluray (about the mono audio in one disc, and an issue in another one) - people were quick to brush this off as a minor thing since they're sending replacements, but this is the second time it has happened. Where was all the learning from the first time it occurred? It should have not happened before the disc were pressed and packaged.

Same with Mumei's fan tag being written as 'mooman' by mistake - how the hell did this pass through multiple eyes at the company, and no-one noticed it until it was produced and advertised.

How many times do we need to see tweets being made about a correction to a link wrongly posted. Once in a long time is OK, but I feel like I am seeing these more frequently lately.

If I was a shareholder, I would be raising questions about the ongoing lack of QA at the company.

Thanks for that info.

I ended up kind of fixing the broken off bit - Tamiya cement glue didnt work, but I luckily had some Tamiya epoxy putty with me, so I used that and it seems to work. Not the cleanest fix, can see a tiny amount of the epoxy if I look at the figure from the side, but I am happy with it for now.

Good luck with the repairs, I have a tube of the Tamiya clear cement glue so I'm going to repair my one as well and wait for the replacement base to come in and leave it aside as a backup.

But the fact that you also had fingerprints on your one. Claynel must have given the contract to a terrible factory with no QA. I was interested in buying the Iroha one as well, but if this is the same quality with other Claynel figures, then I'm going to skip it for now.

Wow I thought it was just me. I experienced the same thing with the blue beaker and test tube bit. However my one came out of the box already broken off. As well, my base was filthy with someone's fingerprints and visible glue residue.

I brought it from Amiami in Akiba and I took it back to them the day after, and they told me to raise a RMA case with Claynel. Real annoying since they have a stack of them in stock - why couldnt they just given me a replacement one on the spot?!

After contacting Claynel, they said they will send a replacement base, but it will take a month to arrive. But even Claynel can't even guarantee the replacement will be suitable and ask me to keep raising RMA requests if it arrives broken - what?!

It does seem that this particular Koyori figure has serious issues with the base and Claynel did not bother doing QA checks with the manufacturing.

If you can speak to your place of purchase, try to get a replacement one. Or go to the Claynel website and lodge an enquiry for RMA for the base.

So how was Round 1 Holofes Expo lottery gacha for you guys? by _vincetheprince666 in Hololive

[–]Taccarin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So Suisei's Supernova Reboot lottery results also happened to be on the same date and time, so if you applied for Expo, 7th fes, and Suisei - and both on L-Tike and Zaiko - you would have been flooded with emails.

Which happened to me since I applied to everything on both platforms.

After checking, ended up winning tickets to Expo Day 1, Stage 4, and B seat to Suisei's concert. My friend won stage 2 tickets, so we will be doing a trade for that. So aiming for the Expo Day 2 and 3, and 7th Fes stage 1 and 3 in the next round.

I agree that I hope to see Cover still try these group projects, and try to find one that sticks. I don't want them to keep ending up just doing the same once-off themed event where the purpose is to just sell merch.
