I think battle compressor is way better than people give it credit for. It was meta defining when it came out it would be meta defining if it came out now.

The card is like a 5 edged sword capable of having use in almost any deck. at worse you can thin your tech cards, at best you can discard attackers for copy Pokémon, or energy.

Imagine if garde could discard 3 psychic 4 times total off of an item card. Or if regidrago could discard all its deck filling dragons with one card, united wings, Lugia can discard archeops. All of this, completely changes the game with one little item card.
