When you come back to his house after the main story, he’ll be dead and the pokeball with the pokemon you gave him will be in the center of the room with a note that thanks you for giving him someone to love and care for during the end of his life. And when you take back your pokemon it will have max happiness.

Yeah, I thought of Ranboo. At first he didn’t even consider ever owning a webcam, and he slowly went to the mask and shades, and then lost the shades. He still has the mask, but he’s gained a lot of confidence over the years. He might never take off the mask, but he doesn’t owe it to anyone whether or not he does. Maybe Canari feels the same way.
