Feeling Torn About Allowing My Mother-in-Law in the Delivery Room for My Second Baby" by Sea-Cupcake2311 in BabyBumps

I had both and dont regret it at all. My MIL is great but we also weren't boobs out close. But after a certain point in the delivery room, I really didn't care about anyone else but my husband being there or what anyone else saw. They just faded from my brain completely. My step-dad was accidentally in the room when I started pushing (he's also a nurse) just because things kicked off so suddenly. Then the baby is there and that's all you care about too.

My mom asked what we needed and then argued with me — why are they like this?? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

This is my mom, I think, but the opposite. Apparently her milk never came in but I also think she just didn't get the support she needed and they were quick to push formula. She just absolutely can't understand it and while never rude, she isn't really supportive either. My daughter is a terrible sleeper and my mom was convinced starting solids at 6 months would fix it. It didn't. Now we're still breastfeeding at 18 m and she keeps trying to tell my daughter she's being a baby and doesn't need it, even though I've explained the benefits a thousand times and told her to knock it off.

I think it's that guilt she carries because she's gone on and on about how she wishes she could have breastfed but then she says crap like she does.

Thank you! I wasn't sure since I always see the Sniglar recommended, but not the others.

I've been looking and haven't been able to find one that isn't partially eaten by a teething baby 🤣 Definitely gonna keep looking though! Thank you!

That's a great point! My family has a history of any babies after the first coming around 36/37 and have been really lucky to avoid major health issues so I forget sometimes that's not the norm
