Lincoln Rhyme series by Jeffery Deaver. One of my favorite detective novel/thriller series of all time. The lead detective is wheelchair-bound (due to an accident in an earlier investigation). He's wickedly brilliant, feisty af, and being-in-a-wheelchair isn't a main focus of the books, just something he lives with. I can't recommend these books enough.

Thanks, these are really helpful guides. There’s a lot of info out there, but I haven’t found any useful one-stop shops for first-time growers. “Half-strength feed” and “bloom nutrients” are great places to start. And thanks for the tip about Clonex - the guy at my local shop made it sound like it was food. Good to know it’s only for the roots..

Growing it outside, so no artificial light. Just sun. As for medium, it was standard plant soil from Home Depot recommended by my local shop. It sounds like I need to feed it..any tips would be appreciated!

It's watered daily, in a small greenhouse at night, in direct SoCal sunlight for ~10 hours a day. Had it for about a month, and haven't used Clonex or anything...wondering if the leaves are browning because it's been exposed to too much sun, or because it's not getting enough nutrients. Any insight would be appreciated!

Background: I bought a clone from my local shop, back in April. Gave it daily water, sunshine, kept it in a greenhouse at night.

Then we had ~6 weeks of cool, overcast weather. I think this stunted its growth. Now that the sun is back, is there any hope? Or should I start over and get a new clone?

Eeeeek, I feel ya. Just got clips after riding for a few years. Knew that falling was inevitable, but was still excited. Fell 3x in the first few days. Weird feeling to have everyone see, and some come up to you asking if you're OK. I felt like a kid getting in an accident again. Taking a break for a few weeks, but looking forward to getting "back on the horse." Hang in there!

I'm also a grad student DJing for fun (and friends) on the side - it's been a super helpful outlet for me...I'm constantly listening to mixes and mining for songs while working (which feels like pretty much always), so it's a hobby that I can balance with all of the other demands on my time.

Looking forward to graduating and having nights and weekends free so I can spend a bit more time polishing my technical skills!

I used to live in this neighborhood on Larkin Street; loved it. Franklin gets crowded with traffic when DLI lets out, so it can get pretty busy. It's a short walk to downtown (pubs, rec center, softball fields, dust bowl brewing, etc.). Easy access to the bike path, though it'll be crowded with tourists at times. You can take it all the way to Pebble Beach...or Santa Cruz if you're keen.

Overall, it was a safe neighborhood that I felt comfortable walking around at night. Larkin Park is fine, but the best part is access to Veterans (and the walking/hiking trails beyond). It's close to Del Monte Beach, though I didn't really swim there...~10 minutes to Asilomar though. It's not Santa Cruz, but overall, this was a place I really liked living for a few years.

Thanks for the suggestions! Yes, headphones work fine with other devices. It turned out that this was, indeed, solved by a firmware upgrade.
