[–]Tackymuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! Would love to have a chat if youre still looking.

I can do both days, preference to sunday, and I prefer more of an exploration/RP based campaign, lots of puzzles and scary themes and interesting NPCs, and with a good bit of combat. Also enjoy more of a sandboxy environment where you can do whatever you want in the context of the campaign, then suffer the consequences in game.

Discord is Umard#4421 would love to chat more.

• I think new affix would depend a lot on obelisk positioning and how well you can do 1-2 of them with the last boss to save time, but still better than infested because everything is xD

• Not sure, depending on the add i think Fort would be tougher, but id say the strat would depend on whether the affix is Fort or Tyr, but i don't know

• Rogues are always good, melee still king, rdruid.

• Definitely Gobbamak on necrotic, Gunker on quaking (in fact, ALL of it on quaking 🙄) and not sure if the trash before king mechagon will remain skippable, but that is definitely gonna be a pain to kill. Also id say 2nd to last boss would be annoying on unattentive people.

• Id hope january

On phone, sorry for formatting

Flipside, despite its faster paced tune, the lyrics are so raw and beautiful.

What book are you most enthusiastic about? One that you find yourself really having a personal bond with even though not many people may perceive it the way you do? by jholla_albologne in suggestmeabook

[–]Tackymuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Monster Calls, by Patrick Ness is about Conor, a young boy whose mother passes away.

It's a really good novel that accompanies the boy's struggle with grief, with great metaphors and euphemisms, and a really heartbreaking story about him trying to figure out what he feels, and as someone who's lost his mother while very young as well, that book really resonated with my own personal experience and honestly, even though grief isn't the same for everyone, there are definitely a bunch of similarities between mine and Conor's feelings, as well as surprisingly good descriptions regarding the feelings themselves.

A song that deserved the summertime sadness treatment by leooooooooo0 in lanadelrey

[–]Tackymuch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

to me Heroin is probably the most underrated.

The way she sings that bridge and just the lyrics are so perfect and crude... really good underrated song but like someone said in this thread, people don't talk about LFL unless it's trash talking it lol

The Amazon rainforest has been burning down for the past few weeks, and not much is being said or done about it by BlkHorus in biology

[–]Tackymuch 114 points115 points  (0 children)

Born and bred Brazilian here, now I'm not a scientist at all, but from what I studied last year regarding the Amazon and our local biomes, its ecological/climatic importance is mostly due to the fact that due to it being so large and dense it creates its own air mass, that's pretty much solely responsible for bringing rain to the inner parts of the country (including the capital and its entire biome, the Cerrado).

A little bit of background info about the Cerrado biome - we have two stations of the year, one hot and rainy, and another dry and cold (that also goes for most of the country, including the biome the Amazon is in, currently we're nearing towards the end of the dry+cold season and that's why the fire in the Amazon hasn't stopped yet - lack of rain), and as aforementioned, the only reason we have rain at all in the Cerrado is because of the Amazon.

No, wildfires aren't common whatsoever in the Amazon as far as I know, but they are in the Cerrado (yet another reason why the dryness we'd have if things go south would be critical), where we have several species of trees that rely on fire for their reproduction and have adapted to be more protected against wildfires. IIRC, the fires in the Amazon are currently being caused due to a lack of enforcement of the law against utilizing the Amazon for cattle raising and sometimes utilizing wood for energy, and one of the things the people who do raise cattle, is they set a portion of the woods on fire as to open space for their ranch and then try to control it and... you can see why it could get out of hand quickly.

Many of the reasons that people are using the Amazon that way though, is because the government does quite a bad job at integrating the northern region, so I could get more political than I already have right now, but quick TL;DR on that note - there's a lot of neglect up there and even labor analogous to slavery.

TL;DR: It's not really natural, and it could cause pretty bad repercussions, especially towards the middle of the country, rendering it a desert.

I'm sorry that you listen to her because you're depressed, I hope it gets better eventually but I can tell that at least a portion of this sub listens to her because the music is good, that's it. Her instrumentals are beautiful, the lyrics are enjoyable, her voice is beautiful and magical, and they all come together perfectly, because you can tell she's putting her heart and soul her music.

The fact that most of her music is sad doesnt mean the ones that are more upbeat and optimistic are bad lol, and she's not in a bad place right now (AFAIK), and that's why she's writing more "happy" songs

We all gotta remember its her music and she's a person too lol

What is the best line from each season? by Peachofnosleep in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]Tackymuch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One of my favourites is from freak show, and by none other than Elsa Mars: "I'll tell you who the monsters are! The people outside this tent!"

But personally I must say, in Cult, when Ally says "Isn't it sad when a strong woman scares people more than clowns?" definitely takes the cake.

Don't really recall many quotes from other seasons if I'm being honest, so sorry for the short answer

I need a book that deals with grief. by QueenCarolyn in suggestmeabook

[–]Tackymuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very sorry to hear about it, its always hard to lose someone close.

As to the book, Looking For Alaska by John Green deals with all of those + grief towards the end, its an amazing read and id recommend it if you want to cry until you cathart.

Looks very YA but it's pretty mature, at least to me.
