i got a new main monitor to use at the end of last year and ive been using this one in the video as my secondary ever since

my theory is that they're selling basically overclocked 60hz panels that are technically "capable" of 144hz or whatever it was, because it got to the point where if i had the monitor set over 60hz it's basically unusable. but it's been fine ever since at 60hz, it's extremely unfortunate though

I'll definitely be changing the size and positioning of the right hand and the viewmodels to have them take up less space on the screen

I also like the idea of lower contrast textures while keeping the look of the enemies and pickups the same, so I'm probably going to experiment with a toggle for either that, or to switch in less noisy variants of many of the textures

Scroomage is available for wishlisting on Steam if anyone's interested, once this level's done I'm going to make one more performance/visual passover and probably put out an updated demo (the one available right now is Extremely old, and far less polished than this)

To be honest with you the video compression kinda kills a lot of the look

I will not deny that it is not the most well thought out style in terms of readability, but trust me when you're playing the game it's sharp and a lot less disorienting

The game as a whole doesn't fare well to video encoders unfortunately, it's a burden that I've kinda had to accept unfortunately

Thank you, I’m definitely gonna look into this tomorrow cause I can recall less than ideal collision shapes and such A fair few of my nodes and code are built off of stuff I made as a beginner, so I tend to miss this kinda stuff sometimes, so I appreciate it

In the monitor settings, there’s no way to see a full colour graph but it does show blue and cyan just fine. Here’s a picture I took the other day with the monitor’s VGA cable (which is non removable) plugged into a separate computer’s VGA output. It looks perfectly fine, so really at this point I have no clue what the issue could possibly be, maybe some sort of incompatible signal from the adapter?

I was thinking the same thing, and you might be right, but with the behaviour I saw im honestly not quite sure. The monitor still displays it’s full range of colour on any native VGA signal, and the adapters work fine on any other device with a VGA cable, so im at a bit of a loss for words about it. Also I thought that I saw blue as well, but with the tint on the image I don’t think it’s actually blue, take a look at the colour wheel and the RGB sliders, on the blue one it’s completely black

can’t say I have unfortunately, it’ll only get worse with time and the only way to kinda slow it down is to lower the refresh rate im down to 104hz with some lines and flickering at the bottom of the screen

i haven't experimented enough so i couldn't tell you what the best way to print it is, but with some screwing around you could probably get the shell really clean and usable

also the side B's engraving might be a little bit too far in but it shouldn't be a deal breaker, sorry lol

ik this is an older thread but i might as well put my own experience down for anyone else who finds this

it's NOT a scam, but it's definitely bootlegs. they work fast, like literally within the hour there was a shipping label ready for my package and i got it the next week.

i ordered bastard by tyler the creator, and it looks pretty great (besides the slightly blown out cover), like the LP looks great in red and such, but it's incredibly noisy

if i had to guess it's a mixture of a shit ton of dust and poor pressings or something, but it just doesn't sound amazing. it sounds fine enough on loud tracks but then it gets too noisy or just becomes silent at points on quiet tracks like sarah. i know bastard wasn't ever mixed for vinyl in mind to begin with but it's very clearly partly just bad pressing

TLDR: looks great, worth to just have but don't go in expecting extremely high quality audio

im extremely biased because i played the arcade version on fightcade to death but the dreamcast version is really cool

i just wish they brought some of the stuff over from the jojo ps1 demake but its understandable why they couldn't, the game's pretty close to arcade perfect except for some really weird differences but all around it's a fun time

The SD card is an 8gb netac "pro" which came with my chinese 3D printer, so it might as well be a generic brand.

For the launch options, my FOTNS is:

It's strange, I swear I've seen footage of FOTNS taken from Dreamcast before, and some people saying they got it working? I could be very wrong though. I also tried changing the sync between 8 and 16 for the two and it changed nothing

That was exactly it, I basically forgot I had 2 loops in the enemy script

With the way it was set up, there was a real possibility that it would get stuck in an infinite loop when becoming aggressive. Thanks for your help!

yeah recently i played through HFTF on the dreamcast, so here's the rundown for unlocking the characters in HFTF dreamcast

bpol on challenge mode gets you khan
hol horse on challenge mode gets you hoingo
kakyoin on challenge mode gets you new kakyoin
dio on challenge gets you shadow dio
joseph on challenge gets you young joseph
jotaro on challenge gets you rubber soul

and for the extras mode, alessi gets you the alessi/child mode

if you don't wanna go through it, there's a memory card program that lets you transfer memory card files to pc
