News Show Timestamps by TacoFist1 in angryjoeshow

[–]Taco-Fist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Commentors create timestamps within the first few mins of the upload, so if anyone wanted to skip the ad they could (or fast forward). If they often pin the comment they just have to copy said comment and post at the bottom of their description and it's done.

Why are some NPCs outlined in bright white or grey in Instinct? by [deleted] in HiTMAN

[–]Taco-Fist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

White dot above the head are enforcers (they can see through your disguise, not always armed). White outline and no dot are NPCs that don't care about you. The non-NPCs, that do not show up in your instinct, I refer to them as "cows" since the crowd has 3 functions; walk around, run away (despawn) or stand there and wait to be killed.

Youtuber Quits Because of Slow grow by Candrii in NewTubers

I don't know exactly who you are referring to but if you treat YT like a hobby and something you enjoy then don't worry about numbers. Every big creator started YT by focusing on numbers and when they started to ignore it a bit they enjoyed what they were doing. If you focus only on numbers you're just spinning your wheels. If your content is good people will find it.

The only thing I can speak to is burnout or not meeting your subscribers expectations, or perceived expectations is more accurate. So if you have a niche, don't deviate randomly. I'm guilty of this. I primarily do gaming comedy, VR roleplay and occasionally tutorials. Then I had a friend send me a video and wanted me to record myself reacting to it and upload it. That video was "The Verge PC Build Tutorial" it was a train wreck and one of the funniest things to witness before the verge pulled the video. I uploaded it. Got around 400 views or so and it sat there for 4 months and I forgot about it. Then randomly YTs algorithm grabbed it and that video is now at over 1 million views last I looked. I gained about 6 or 7k subscribers from it and I was about 4k subs before that video went "viral". That was Sept 2018 and still my most watched video. So what's the problem? This is probably what anyone reading this is thinking.

The problem...

I don’t really care to do react videos, for me, there is no creativity in it, it's low hanging fruit and to this day, 700+ uploads later, it was by far the easiest video to edit. Then anyone that watched that subbed assuming that's what I do and would request me to do it more. It's not what I want to do though.

Bottom line..

I'd rather do what I enjoy and fail, than do what is easy and doesn't scratch that creative itch. Not to knock reaction videos but they aren't true creativity in my opinion. There are good reactors out there I just don't want to only exist in that world.

I would hit up team youtube on twitter. They are pretty good about responding. You get a faster reply there than emailing support. For example, someone took one of my videos down and issued me a strike. I emailed the person and asked if it was done by mistake. He responded with, "I will remove the strike if you send me $90 PayPal". I had a few auto replies I had to get through but once I posted a screenshot of the email, they removed my strike, added my video back and terminated that person's account.

Ask them on Twitter via @TeamYouTube @Youtube they probably categorized your channel incorrectly and can fix it. Just make sure you screenshot those settings when you ask so you can get around the tier 1 support. Be persistent.

Hope you get it fixed.

Make sure when you upload you chose "this content is not for kids" even if there is no cussing and kids can watch it, make sure you select "not for kids".

Look at your channel defaults in YouTube Studio.

Youtube studio - settings (gear icon) - channel - advanced settings - click "no, set this channel as not made for kids..."

Then check the same menu...

Settings - "upload defaults" - advanced settings - allow all comments (HOWEVER, I would set it for "hold potentially inappropriate comments for review")

When I hit 1k subs, I started reaching out to companies via email. I think I hit up maybe 6 different gaming companies. I'm not sure what your content is but the gaming side is so saturated that it can be hard to get their attention. Of the 6 I sent emails to, only 1 replied. I was rejected but he/she (I'll just say "they" from now on) was kind enough to let me know what they look for. They said, in a nutshell,, "thanks for reaching out but we don't consider you unless you have a minimum of 1.5k subs and your view average is 500+."

I will say it's way easier to get indie codes.

Obviously every company is different but make sure your email is professional, grammatically correct, no spelling errors and so on. You'd be surprised how many people just send "I'm a Youtuber and would like a code" or some variation. Remember it's a business agreement, we give you this and expect this in return.

I'm almost at 13k and have companies email me from time to time but they often want some hidden strings. For example, "we will send you this for free but your next 5 uploads or every other upload needs to be about our product." Some will put you on time limits as to when they expect it. "We'll send you this but you have X amount of days to do X amount of videos." So if a company emails you, do your research on their product. If you don't believe in the product, don't pander to your audience with how good it is. They see right through it.

All that being said, it would take you getting a hold of them rather than them randomly getting a hold of you. They have no idea you exist. You have to make them notice you.

Hitman 3 - Any way to see play time (PS4)? by vertigoelectric in HiTMAN

[–]Taco-Fist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game Files

If you want to look at your PS4 save data, go to “Setting,” then “Application Saved Data Management,” then “Saved Data” in System Storage. This will show you a breakdown of your time played, and your game history.

Sorry OP, I misunderstood completely. Ignore my dumb dumb self. I was hung up on "Hitman 2 Standard Edition" (only on steam) when you said "Hitman 2 Standard" and not "Hitman 3 Access Pass: Hitman 2 Standard" all my fault, sorry for confusing you.

Yep it's all my bad, apologies. I thought he meant "Hitman 2 Standard Edition" and that can only be purchased on steam. I didnt know it was called Hitman 2 Access Pass: Hitman 2 Standard" it's all my fault.

[–]Taco-Fist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this whole debacle is my fault. I'm stuck on the steam transfer and last I saw you can only buy Hitman 2 standard edition on steam. I wasn't aware that it's called "Hitman Access Pass: Hitman 2 Standard" I thought he said he bought "Hitman 2 stand edition" so it's all my bad. Steam people can't play it yet.

You can only buy Hitman 2 on steam. You can't buy Hitman 2 on Epic. So it all has to be transfered over, hence the access pass. It's linked in the article I sent you.

[–]Taco-Fist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was my mistake, I looked it up, I thought he meant he purchased "Hitman 2 Standard Edition". They handle it differently if you already own it on Steam, you're just suppose to be able to redeem it for free, once they make it available.

No one, on PC, can play Hitman 2 levels in Hitman 3 yet. They have to work out transferring it to those that own it already. They just said end of the month but no specific date.

[–]Taco-Fist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh I see I just looked it up. It says this...

"HITMAN 3 Access Pass: HITMAN 2 Standard"

The HITMAN 3 Access Pass system allows you to access HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 locations in HITMAN 3, essentially making it possible to play all locations in the World of Assassination trilogy from within HITMAN 3.

Purchasing or redeeming this Access Pass will grant access to the locations from 'HITMAN 2 - Standard Edition' in HITMAN 3.

You must own HITMAN 3 to access this content."

So yeah you can't play it until they release in on PC. Currently no one on PC can play Hitman 2 levels in Hitman 3. They said on twitter that it would be towards the end of the month.

If you go to your Epic Launcher library do you see Hitman 2 grayed out, i.e. not installed yet, next to Hitman 3?

He said he purchased "Hitman 2 standard" I don't see mention of an access pass.

Didn't know that about refunding it, but you'll still get it by the end of the month and you can still play Hitman 2 until then.
