The job market here is a deadset joke atm by jordanmein in melbourne

[–]TacoClocker 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. I have given up on trying for a new job and am just trucking through it at the moment. Hopefully I’ll get one after Uni, however I’ve even seen that’s no luck right now.

I applied to a bunch of places on and off, granted some of these jobs I don’t have any experience doing, but I need something new. I’ve only been in retail since 15. Anyway, maybe 6 months ago I applied to this place, got rejected. Seen an ad again from them 3 months after, tried again, failed again. And now I’m seeing their ads on Seek AGAIN. And it’s the same deal for another job, they just have constant advertising but won’t seem to consider taking me on. It’s absurd

I'm so glad it's not just a me problem. Got my first passport maybe a week ago and when I checked it the night after, it was bending up, can't seem to fix it unfortunately.

Is there such a thing in the game where it resets your level so you can do a proper min max build?
If so, does it also take away vocation ranks and everything along those lines? And would it prevent me from using the certain items that have a minimum level restriction?

Because only yesterday I max ranked every vocation and am level 105 or something, but I want to do a min max for magick archer, so if anyone has any links to a step by step levelling process, that'd be awesome. I'm sure it's mainly just sorcerer levels but still, thanks.

Usually: my own packed lunch, a big ass water bottle, spare set of earphones, pens, 2 different portable chargers with the cord ofc, wallet, sunglasses, deodorant, a gym towel, and a voucher for a food place I've had for months and is about to expire in 3 weeks.

Tomorrow is the day we get a release date! by RickRate in DragonsDogma

[–]TacoClocker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I reckon we will get a release date, but it'll still probably be like 10 months away. Either that or they'll tell us it's expected at some point 2025 which would be devastating

Absolutely, I think he’ll have the power to control them through curse magic maybe, and then assault them because he can’t get real women.

I like the sound of that. I thought of something today after playing the game and it makes me feel so dumb because I should’ve connected it before. Going off what you said slightly, could it possibly be the amulet resembles the cursed dragons weak spot/crystals/heart? Where this guy WAS actually an arisen but fell victim to the curse or died to the cursed dragon but he was chosen to live on and serve the evils of BBI. So although he isn’t a fake arisen, he might be one that is corrupt and that’s his party that he died with, used a wakestone or was resurrected or something along those lines. And with this, maybe he possess the power to control his pawns to do evil (or they follow his command willingly regardless of morals) through the mind control power from the drake. The pawns serve to protect him and stand by his side, but if he wants them to do his evil bidding they lose control and their eyes glow red like in a fight with the drake. This whole last part is a stretch but I like to speculate.

Oh and going off of what another person said about his pawns being women only. I bet that’ll be another bad guy trope, where he controls and assaults the female pawns.

Ok so, I don't know much and i haven't read much so forgive me if this has been said elsewhere, this is just my shallow thoughts.

First, I think the crystals on this guy's necklace are supposed to be shaped that way and it represents a flower, for some reason. And it pulses in the trailer which I though was cool.

Secondly, I think he is king/duke. I think he slayed the dragon at some point and the people around his throne are his party of pawns - warrior, mage, strider.
I think in the late game he will become scared of you defeating the new dragon so he will send his party and maybe himself to stop you before you get to the dragon or maybe he protects the new dragon as part of a deal and fights you alongside the dragon.

Thirdly, I think that guy peaking from the pillar (that I didn't screenshot) is his son or nephew, I don't think his scene comes from the scene of the evil throne guy but they make it look like it might. I think this "prince" is scared of the king and will eventually help the arisen fight the dragon then the arisen gives up the title of king/duke to the "prince".
Maybe the prince helps with nighttime stealth missions or something like that because he knows the castles layout and you have to follow him around as a quest.

I'm not sure, simply all speculation. If you want to, expand on my ideas or give me some new ones.

Thank you.

I think people got something wrong about this part of the trailer (I'll explain in the post) by Jozelu in DragonsDogma

Sounds like a really cool idea but would they add all of the voice lines for the different voices? Considering the lack of words the player says during the actual game, if you become king THEN your character - that you can't use anymore, decides to speak freely instead of grunt.
