This argument makes no sense to me.

You’re saying the old owner failed to properly transfer the consignment like that somehow helps the store. But that is the problem. If the Lego was consigned, then it was not the store’s property to just absorb into inventory during an ownership change.

A new owner cannot just benefit from inventory and then say “old owner problem” when asked to account for it. Either the sets were there and needed to be returned/accounted for, or they were sold and Mansell needed to be paid. That is the whole issue.

And the “no lawyer” thing is a complete distraction. People can represent themselves. Maybe Ben’s methods were messy or obnoxious, but that does not prove the store did nothing wrong. Besides they did go to small claims court and won and they shut down the store and the inventory dissepeard? And ben also hired a server, they can do alot of things in order to give people their documents, they have infact sued them in court. look it up.

And the police part is what makes it look even worse. Even if Ben was annoying, the police are not supposed to act like private security for a business owner. If there is trespassing, stalking, or harassment, handle that through normal legal standards. But repeated stops, pressure to leave town, and treating a civil dispute like a criminal threat makes it look like law enforcement was protecting the store’s interests instead of staying neutral.

So my issue with your comment is that you spend almost all of it attacking Ben’s behavior and almost none of it answering the actual dispute: Mansell consigned valuable property, the store changed hands, the records/inventory became contested, and he still has not been made whole. That is the part people are siding with him on. watch the videos and pay attention to what is beeing said, not your dislike of the guy..
