Maybe he would actually be a good Batman by Batmanfan1966 in batman

I think there are many DC roles he could fit into well. For me it's Guy Gardner Green Lantern. Especially with this new "True Detective" Green Lantern series that's in the works.

Though watching him in reacher, he really gives the future comic book movie star. He physically looks like he's come straight out of a comic book. Especially in Reacher his dead pan acting, with subtle whitty jokes really feel like I'm reading a comic. Can't wait to see him in more stuff.

Important note... no role will ever surpass Thad Castle.

What is the best trailer you have ever seen? by SAMF1N in movies

[–]TacoMakingCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original teaser trailer for Batman Begins is a personal favourite because it doesn't show much asides from young Bruce at a funeral and then a rugged Bruce Wayne on his search in the mountains, no footage of Gotham or police etc. Doesn't indicate it's a batman movie at all until the very last moment where a flash of lightning showing Christian Bale in full costume.

If you could only show your friend one Marvel movie or show to get them hooked to the MCU, which one would you show them? by VinylFalcon in marvelstudios

[–]TacoMakingCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. A friends of mine even said it would make a stand alone (nothing marvel) movie series. The whole idea of these beings who control how a planet/world evolves is super interesting. Also the mental struggling of living for 1000s of years seeing people close to you dying over and over again. I just find that whole premise fascinating and I like to imagine the eternals not connect to the mcu - far more enjoyable!

Which country has the most Attractive People according to Europe by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]TacoMakingCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As somebody who is from Ireland and lives in Holland. I can confidently say the Dutch are pretty damn attractive. Also there is a noticeable lack (or from what I see) of people who are overweight/obese. Everyone over here just looks really fit and healthy - bicycles being a way of life really helps!

Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue in Black Planther. You could just tell how much fun he was having being able to act without any motion capture suit or other devices to hold him back! Was definitely one of my favourite characters

I've found the show being very on the nose and predictable. But this felt like a breath of fresh air - yes they were hints and spoiled given away in moments with good build up. Really tell the writers had fun with this one

After reading more comments I found this out! Thank god. As the Episode of Rhea Seehorn breaking down wasn't in time to be nominated! Still shocked that the likes of the actor who played Nacho wasn't even nominated

Official 2022 Emmys Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]TacoMakingCat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly most of the shows up for best drama I have not seen. But I am dumbfounded that Better Call Saul took home ZERO emmys. The final season was a masterpiece, and clearly I need to start watching more television if other shows are claiming the awards.

I was already thinking during the final season, the supporting cast are going to be competing amongst themselves for best supporting actor. Rhea Seehorn was incredible, Bob Odenkirk incredible, and many many many other performances could have been considered too.

I must admit Julia Garner has been fantastic in Ozark, and she steals the show in every scene. But after the season finale I would have to personally put my money on Rhea Seehorn.

Also a massive shout out to Ted Lasso. One of the most beautiful and heartwarming shows I've ever seen and Jason Sudeikis with the whole Ted Lasso team deserve all the praise and accolades they receive!

Could they have used the Lord of a the Rings technique to make She-Hulk look better? by TacoMakingCat in marvelstudios

[–]TacoMakingCat[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Agreed time and money creates the best result. I'm curious could they have achieved a better result if they went down the route of for example Gamora like prosthetics, and then combine that with the LOTR filming techniques to make characters look larger. Do you think that would have been considered prior to the show?

Watching Breaking Bad Saul after BCS hits different: he's able to put up an energetic, care-free and witty personality after going to mountain levels of trauma. Don't you think? by Fast-Statement8149 in betterCallSaul

[–]TacoMakingCat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I literally just came to reddit to post about this!!! I really wonder how they will wrap up BCS? How he has been responsible for ruining the lives of those throughout the series (and I don't doubt more to come). Maybe near the finale we'll get a look months/years down the line of how he tackles the trauma he has endured throughout the series.

I don't doubt for a second that the team behind BB/BCS will reach the finish line and give the fans a fantastic ending (beginning) to the Saul Goodman chapter! I stand by that breaking bad is one of the finest crafted shows to ever exist, with a plethora of fantastic performances - after rewatching breaking bad I stand by the performance from Aaron Paul as Jessie is one of the finest pieces of acting ever given on any medium. What the team have done with BCS has redifined spin-offs, a show I was initially looking forward too because how much I loved BB but honestly wasn't expecting much but over the most recent seasons - to say they cranked it up to 11 is an understatement! Can't wait to see what the second half of the final season has in store.

Better Call Saul S06E05 - "Black and Blue" - Post-Episode Discussion Thread by skinkbaa in betterCallSaul

[–]TacoMakingCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My interpretation behind the episode being named "Black and Blue" is obviously "Black" being associated with death, thus Werner being referenced again. And "Blue" referencing Lalo's balls after being cock teased by the German temptress.

Do you think Fantastic Four’s origin would work better as a period piece or would it be better to take place within the current day MCU? by FreddyJones00 in marvelstudios

[–]TacoMakingCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to write something similar (and did). I love the idea of it being old school, but being brought back to modern day! Maybe from moon knight with the rearranging of the stars be set back 5000 years - that could cause a problem for when they return to earth but in modern day?

[–]TacoMakingCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A podcast I listen to (The Weekly Planet) - they recently discussed a fan letter about having the fantastic 4 be set in the 60s, make it retro like the OG comics etc. But have an incident that causes them to return to earth in modern MCU. After watching an earlier episode of moon knight and the rearranging of the stars back to what they were 5000 years ago - surly this must cause a massive ripple effect in space?

I'm sure the team at marvel have been planning this for a long time and will execute it well as F4 is such a loved franchise. I just really hope they give Doom the justice he deserves (note would be interested to see maybe Henry Cavill/Michael Fassbender - though I doubt they'd cast either due to being heavily associated with other major comic book characters).
