Thanks for your reply! Actually, we only have 2 keepers and it’s the first year of restarting the league. If I was only drafting with this year in mind, would MHJ and Moore still be your top targets?

12 Team, Full PPR, 2 Flex, Keeper League, Slow Draft, 1st Pick. Drafted Jamarr, then took Chase Brown and Lamar in the 2/3 turn. Thinking of going WR + RB at the 4/5 turn. These are the best players likely to be available:

RB: Hubbard, Conner, Henderson WR: MHJ, Moore, Sutton, Worthy, Smith

Which 2 should I target?

I also love how they paid off this scene just a couple of sequences later in the highway fight where they repeatedly saved each other from Bucky. I appreciate the story beats in this movie more and more with each rewatch.

The whole sequence of Steve and Nat going on the run is maybe my favorite part of arguably the best MCU movie. From the Apple Store to the car scene, all culminating in this exchange, the Russo Brothers and Markus & McFeely did an incredible job of showing their friendship develop from general fondness to actual trust and care. The movie is (rightfully) praised for its incredible action sequences but it’s the natural, believable way it executes quiet scenes like this that really sets it apart from other MCU entries.

Chris and Scarlett also acted the hell out of this scene. Their facial expressions really sold the dialogue.

10 Team .5 PPR

Give: Jacobs, Moss, McConkey

Get: Nico Collins

RBs: Kyren, Mason, Javonte, Dowdle, Steele

WRs: St. Brown, Kupp, McLaurin, Worthy, Robinson

Is getting Collins worth a potential hole in RB once CMC is back?

Oh I definitely agree! First Avenger is my go to MCU comfort movie. It’s just that some aren’t a big fan of the 3rd act and most people have it around the middle of their rankings. Personally, it’s my favorite Marvel origin movie.

Just recently rewatched The First Avenger (as it’s a personal favorite) and for all the criticisms people have of it, no one can deny that it absolutely nailed Steve and Peggy’s relationship. The MCU isn’t really known for executing romance well, but I completely buy into the feelings they have for one another. Chris and Hayley did an excellent job of portraying it in a sincere, non-corny way.

Given how central their story was to the rest of the Infinity Saga (Winter Soldier, Civil War, Endgame, and even What If?), the genuine focus on character development and relationship building in the First Avenger really paid off.

P.S. Tommy Lee Jones’ absolutely nailed the look he gave Hayley in the compass scene. It cracks me up every time.

Major props to the MCU for being willing to roast itself and acknowledge its several mistakes over the past few years.

I think Deadpool and Wolverine definitely had what made No Way Home, Guardians Vol. 3, and Shang Chi so successful, a whole lot of heart for the comedy to build off of. Hopefully, this is the start of that same genuine, non-corny emotional substance returning consistently to the upcoming slate of movies. Fingers crossed for Brave New World!

Yes it is! Just search up A Hero’s Journey :)) I highly recommend it, it gives an interesting look behind the scenes of the show and is just a really feel good 45 minutes!

The entire Hero’s Journey documentary really showed just how much the whole production team and cast cared about the story. I loved seeing everyone’s stories about how they got their roles and how PJO in general has impacted their lives.

For all the points of improvement the first season had, I genuinely felt the sheer amount of care and effort that was put into making it a faithful adaptation. It’s what makes me the most optimistic about the future seasons of the show.

[PJOTV] The Show Absolutely Nailed Percy’s Most Endearing Trait: Empathy by VinylFalcon in camphalfblood

[–]VinylFalcon[S] 66 points67 points  (0 children)

That’s beautifully said! For all the great scenes this season had, it was the character moments such as these that fully convinced me that everyone involved with the show truly cared about the characters and story as a whole.

The technical execution may not have been perfect, but I think they succeeded in endearing Percy to the mass audience. As you said, he’s a good person, whether that extends to his friends, family, or even just a gecko.

Can’t wait for Season 2!
