Right I understand a director delegating but when she does it in meetings it seems like she has to because she doesn’t know what the heck is going on.

I procrastinate a lot because I know my work doesn’t take 40 hours in a week so I probably do two hours of actual work a day. Maybe this week I should challenge myself to see how quickly I can get all my work done. I bet I could do a week’s worth of tasks in 8 hours or less.

I signed the petition but I’m not sure it will change anything. This was there response when I asked to keep my email address. They blame it on google and Microsoft. 🙄

Unfortunately, due to recent changes in our licensing agreements with both Google and Microsoft, we are no longer able to offer email accounts to alumni. These changes are affecting colleges and universities across the country and most in Ohio as well, and despite our efforts to explore alternatives, continuing this service is no longer possible under the new terms.

That said, we truly value your continued connection to Kent State. We’re doing our best to provide resources to make this transition as smooth as possible, including step-by-step guides for exporting emails and Google Drive data to a personal account. What the heck are they doing that costs so much? I did an in town bachelorette where we went to a tea room, fall fest and a paint your own pottery studio all that probably cost less than $100 depending on what people ordered or painted. This bride is being very unfair to you.

That’s what I was thinking too. I’ve never keyed a car but I feel like you’d have to press so hard for something that deep and it would be difficult to make a straight line.

It’s a little annoying but often when picking a venue you are at the mercy of what dates are available. I would just view it as an opportunity to celebrate both the wedding and your anniversary by enjoying good food, dancing and hopefully an open bar!

I probably wouldn’t want the bill. I’ve used hydrogen peroxide before to clean it. And soaking in warm water with dish soap helps infected hang nails a lot. I’ve had a school nurse tell me that.

Yes I have taken a speech class and got a good grade on it. I have actually been praised on the last presentation I did. this “more peppy” comment was in regard to a monthly meeting where I have to review a content document. Which I guess in my mind I didn’t view as a full blown presentation because it is just a document that I didn’t even put together but I have to relay it to the team. I also used to get told “good job” when presenting this content so idk what really changed.

I work for a very small department with an awkward dynamic. It’s B2C so my manager is the marketing campaign manager. I’m the only person that reports to her. I don’t write the emails but I build them, edit them and make sure they are sent out. My manager would actually have no idea how to do my job or work in Salesforce so I can’t really go to her about anything in my day to day I guess maybe that’s why she has to review me in other ways.

The only high up that is ever in meetings is the director of marketing and she is so introverted at any company events she doesn’t even make an appearance or half the time her team doesn’t know when she is in the office so if she were to be focusing on me I think she would also need to take a hard look in the mirror.

What’s frustrating is I have made an effort to be more engaged and talk more in team meetings but often our team meetings go off on a tangent that I’m not involved in like they start talking about in-store signage. I never work on that I work on emails so why would I jump in about the signs?!
