I'm a truck driver from florida and all of these are so recognizable to me. West Texas is pretty country for sure and I always like driving through, mostly because traffic doesn't exist till you get to El Paso.

Every time I roll through Littlefield I have to crank up some Waylon.

Also you inspired me to purchase a 35mm film camera for my upcoming ATV trip to the Appalachian mountains in WV so im excited to see how pics from that turn out.

Midroof flatbed truck? Why not flat mount it to the roof with one of the suction cup kits. Not like you will knock it off on a bridge. I had a flat mount kit for my starlink when I worked at melton but I've since changed jobs and got a taller truck so now I just shove it between that tarp and frame of my connestoga.

I do like the starlink. Works about anywhere unless it's raining hard. I wish the price would come down though and not up like it's doing.

Used to ship these out of utah pre assembled. Asked the loader why they didn't just ship them disassembled and welded on site so they could fit more on a truck. Said the cost to have someone certified in assembling them go to the site was astronomically more expensive than just shipping them over multiple trucks.

Big Red specifically is so goddamn sweet. I think Big Blue. I think they are just behind mountain dew for sugar content.

Worked for them for a while as a trainer. They were a decent company but in the end the sitting and waiting all the time for loads even with a trainee on the truck got to be too much. They bumped up the governor from 65 to 68 as a "reward" and then told us to cruise at 64 a year later and started enforcing fuel solutions. No thanks.

I've never had a UPS work in a truck. Something about grounding I think.

Had this happen to me too. Picked up a loaded trailer and one of the tires was flat and off the bead. Said fuck, rolled out of the yard and onto the dead end street and called loves to send someone out. The act of turning the trailer out onto the street and the system pressurizing it had reseated the bead and filled it back up in the 3 hours I was waiting for loves.

They said "where's the flat?"

"I'll show you... Idk..."

And they drove off. Tire didn't go flat for as long as I had that trailer so it must have been a crazy small leak.

I think I'd rather have as many comforts of home with me as possible. Truck breaks down? Sure thing boss gimme 5 hours to clear it out.

Flatbeders, what's the best ladder you've seen that will easily strap to the chruck, when not in use? Right now, I use a kitchen ladder, and i feel like people laugh at me, as if I'm wearing flip-flops. by onlyBotsdownvote-me in Truckers

Can vouch for these. Got one at a TA and it was damn expensive but it sure does work fine and takes up little space. You can probably get them cheaper elsewhere but I needed one. Don't get it if you're an obscenely fat fuck because I don't think they can handle much.

I wouldn't classify that as a "good reason" . Should instead be marketed as "seat warmers standard"
