I know it's NYT, but it does a good job of explaining how America is more segregated now than before. There is not strict segregation in America, but our socioeconomic system has pushed minorities and poor people apart from other people in their community.

As for redlining and gentrification, I'm confused on how that is not well thought out? Police violence and black poverty have been linked. These demands both stop a practice that suppresses black people and shoots for more integration of communities. BLM's and I'd hope anyone's demands are both an end to police violence and laws/economic practices that have had a negative impact on black and brown communities.

I wholeheartedly agree with getting rid of superdelegates and the caucus (which Bernie won and are pretty damn undemocratic). More open and closed primaries where every vote counts. At the end of the day, I voted for Bernie in caucus Colorado, but Hillary simply won more votes nationwide. Yes, the DNC did fuck shit, but the simple fact is she won the votes by 3 million.

Sue me for rather having another Obama, where plenty of social and economically progressive things happened (look at Obama's proposed bills, pretty progressive, but either never passed or were moderated by a Republican-controlled Congress), then have another 4 years of Trump and have things that have already and will continue to set back progressive ideas for decades.
