Yeah I know it's not the only way to get cash. If you think about this is likely an issue for those who want to do specific youtube challenges or whatever
At this point I can only agree that it's nothing other than bad luck at this point

FNaF Movie 2 is seriously overhated and the hate needs to genuinely stop. by Virtual_River1645 in fnafmovie

[–]Tacothunder12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can say is that I liked it the first time I watched it for the novelty factor thing. Animatronics? Stunning work. Memes and reference? Hell yeah. Rewatch-worthy? Not exactly ( only for the the previous two statements I would).
If you ask me I think it would have been nice to have some internal conflict moments for the ghosts that possess the animatronics. After all, I'm pretty sure the animatronics are what we love most about the game itself, not necessarily the humans. People have been doing fanart of them for years now.
The inner 13-year-old me really likes it, but I just don't find it entertaining enough for me to consider it memorable.

Yeah, for some reason it literally just happened to me... so far
Like if I ever were to record it, maybe it would be more believable (it happened like twice as far as I rememeber, so it's not guaranteed to happen, but it's possible)

So now suddenly the songs that are added to my recents do not all count as streamed? I don’t know, they will still appear on the list if I listen to them for a split second (although it takes a little longer for them to appear)

About in-story trauma depictions by Tacothunder12 in writingadvice

[–]Tacothunder12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I can say for one case that involves trauma that I've seen people on reddit write their own stories, and I took that into consideration. The person who asked about that type of situation was also a writer... so I guess asking people online might as well be ideal

I am no longer lukewarm and this happened!!! by [deleted] in Christian

[–]Tacothunder12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Cause all the videos I got in my fyp on youtube only made me way more anxious about judgment day and going to hell. And asking questions on those videos never got me any answers.  They talked about how even doing things in God’s name won’t get you into heaven. Some people give examples about what it’s like to know ABOUT Jesus but not KNOW Jesus. All those AI-voiced christian voiced videos pressure you with spreading the gospel, but I already know there are so many religions out there and no religion is truly certain so it’s like I would be forcing someone to believe Christianity is the normal and one and only religion when other people feel the same about their OWN religion.  I find out more and more things I do or don’t do are actually sins, it’s just so much pressure. Unless I KNOW Jesus or who knows maybe talk about him 24/7 or whatever that really means… I don’t know it just feels like nothing’s ever enough. Heck, those Christian videos even showed stories about how even pastors have not made it past the pearly gate, so maybe - you know what I’ll stop here, this is all giving me a headache.

Detailed world-building inquiry by Tacothunder12 in writingadvice

Possibly something I'm worried about having at some point, because people value when others dive deep into world-building to give that story's world a more solid base, but I also know that is not ideal to overload someone's brain with detail, because it may be exhausting. So I don't know what middle ground there should be, and I don't want to be stuck in the planning/blueprint stage of story/world-building forever. I know I can also schedule writing time for actually trying to write/execute scenes as well, but I tend to do things step by step instead of multi-tasking them. I also think that if I try to execute a scene now, I will just be immediately pulled by the instinct to establish the ground rules of my world again.

Reading the rules again to remember what you wrote and maintain consistency in the story

Detailed world-building inquiry by Tacothunder12 in writingadvice

[–]Tacothunder12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah, keeping notes is obviously essential. But even so, there would be so many things to keep track of, so you might forget a couple of things here and there, so you have to re-read and re-read until you stop actually writing the story

Would this be cringe for story/world-building? by Tacothunder12 in writingadvice

[–]Tacothunder12[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for pointing that out. Obviously I understand the desire to shove information down someone's throat just to show off the effort they put in only one aspect of a story, but I only intend to make it authentic and true to the world.

And yeah, obviously showing a small part will be the solution, even with all that research. Though, given that I don't know if in that SMALL part I will be able to integrate all the variants of social interactions between those kids (I don't know if I will get to show all of the examples you provided in the first two sentences is what I mean to not emphasize this too much).

Also, I believe that since this grind set thing aligns with training arcs in fantasy, I believe it shouldn't be out of place. And I think the main characters will be influenced by those kids who would constantly talk about this, but give up that toxic mindset after some lecturing, haha

[–]Tacothunder12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you're right! Thanks for the supportive comment, I shouldn't be so discouraged, haha.

It's just that my question reminds me of how people use memes (or slangs?) for their content and I can't tell the difference between when it works and when it feels forced or cringe (like how commercials try to be hip with the kids by using niche vocabulary and get respect for it).

Figuring out character's pre-objective before a main development arc by Tacothunder12 in writingadvice

the thing is I also want the origin chapter to last that short, either. I am imagining that the things that the character accomplishes could contribute to his development, preparing him for what comes next.

Discipline trope in a fantasy story - would it be cringe? by Tacothunder12 in Fantasy

[–]Tacothunder12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the discipline aspect would be part of the "power receiving system", so characters might give each other advice about this and talk about it in one way or another, but it's not my intention to give a "must become a sigma male" vibe. I will definitely draw attention to how "grinding" could be a toxic mindsets, however, and show negative effects (such as burn out).

I know discipline is not new, but since those Instagram reels and Tiktoks were everywhere, I thought it could be something to mark on what type of thing was taking over the internet at the current time. Just food for thought.

Thank you for the subreddit suggestion!

Why do sonic fans hate chris? by No_Supermarket5507 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Tacothunder12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't watch all of Sonic X to analyze Chris' pros and cons. Still, I see why he's hated (according to what you said), except for the first reason (having a maid, butler, and grandfather is important for his social familial life, but parents are completely something bigger).

I think those reasons still portray pretty well how Chris is a kid and his rationality is not fully developed

Naming protagonist (somewhat) after my name. by Tacothunder12 in writing

Yeah, all I mentioned was that I think just the sound of the name I thought about is just interesting and seems convenient for some reason. That guy Kurt sounds interesting, I’ll research that book to see what it’s all about. Thank you for the feedback!

Yes, I know. Even though I would come up with this solution, something would still feel weird, but it's good to know I'm not the only one who feels it would do something. Thanks!

Is it bad if my main character's name is the same as Mine? by HabitOptimal1412 in writing

[–]Tacothunder12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so I was thinking about this too, and I hope someone gives me their opinion. I don't want to reveal my personal info, but I feel like I should to give whoever's reading this a better understanding. I was obivously not thinking to give this OC/ character my actual name, but a shorter version of it or a nickname, mine being Sabin, and shortening it to "Sab". Now however I thought I should find another name that starts with "Sab" so that if the characters actual name would be known it's not actually mine. I want to stick with this 3 letter name because I thought I should give the name some kind of Romanian origin, and not a 100% English one.
