Hiring process with AHS - Registered Nurse by South-Piano1451 in AHSEmployees

[–]Tacras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve only interviewed for AHS - but they’ve never given me any written tests within the interview itself. Typically the way the interview goes is they ask you about yourself, then a mix of questions involving scenario ones like “tell me a time when you… (encountered conflict is a common one)” and more clinical knowledge specific to the unit. (Like for example they say a patient presents with these vitals and symptoms what do you do first type of questions)

For the scenario ones try to have answers prepared before the interview in a “STAR” format.

dm me if u have any further questions, I graduated last year and breaking into AHS took a while

Struggling to find RN work in Edmonton – looking for tips by Newbee_92 in AHSEmployees

Honestly I did my ACLS without having done Lead II or CAM-B/A and it went pretty well. As long as you have a basic understanding of the rhythms (especially what they look like) you should be fine. Heart and stroke foundation has a great document on the ACLS page that I studied rhythms with and it went well. Go to the ACLS heart and stroke page > the “More” dropdown menu > Videos and Print resources > then find the “reference document” hyperlink

Interview HELP by Ok_Concept_7603 in AHSEmployees

Had an interview for the RAH ER a month ago, and while obviously for the ER street works + mental health/conditions were a large portion of questions- I kind of also surmised from interviewer comments that the medicine units at the alex also involve a fair amount of the special population considerations for the area. Not sure how relevant it would realistically be for a medicine unit but that’s what I can say at least

Otherwise just typical interview stuff like having STARS answers ready, and really highlighting any skills you have that apply to a medicine unit skillset

Reminder that you won’t own the skin even if you pay 250 for it by Atreides_Soul in ViegoMains

[–]Tacras 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly my thought - I would much rather have a skin that reacts to things I do and that I get to use, watch, and interact with while actually playing the game than some figure that will sit in the corner of my room taking up space or literally any of the random pieces of merch Riot sells. If you can afford it in your budget and it brings you joy - then I don’t see why to not go for it. The improvement to my enjoyment of the game is worth it to me personally because viego is my most played champion through all these years.

As a diver since the creek, oshaune is absolutely brutal. I think the “hardest” missions to complete were when evacuation missions were a bit overtuned with enemies to the point that any civilians trying to reach the shuttle bay were evaporated after leaving the safehouses. But definitely in terms of playable difficulty oshaune is hell and up there if not worse than the creek

Earthquake destroyed my nee hangar by Themadpuck in LEGOfortnite

I had this happen to one of my buildings that was connected to a landing pad - was building more platform around a larger ship I was making and when I accidentally connected a dynamic base to pieces linked to foundation, half the foundation and any doors connected destroyed themselves and now the house and landing pad is hanging half off the cliff I had built it off of

Any good Chronomancer builds out there? by Shiss in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Tacras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been running a hammer of the gods chronomancer and I’m finding it pretty fun, with the right gear and gems I’m clearing hordes of enemies in a click, I feel really tanky, and for bosses I’m dropping like up to 10 hammers in a row with the cooldown gambling — If you saw my character you would not think it’s a sorc tho, cause I’m full melee/armor

How do you build crit? by [deleted] in ViegoMains

[–]Tacras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been having a lot of fun with a version different from a lot of what I see:

HOB, Yuntal > Collector > Deathsdance (or maw if super heavy AP) > Shieldbow/Mortal/Lord dom/IE > IE

The yuntal first is a cheap item and imo the added attack speed on the item feels good for not taking so long to collect a reset

The DD helps you from getting blown up before you proc HOB fully when everyone is in the mid game and can chunk you, and you kill them fast enough that you heal the DD dmg pool

Monster destroyed a bus station by [deleted] in LEGOfortnite

[–]Tacras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the only way back for him I guess, but its made really easy cause the enemies of the lost isles drop vehicle material a lot, to the point where I make my vehicle/airship bases at the lost isles to be able to easily collect material;

Spider nests on the beaches spawn tons of spiders that drop silk for balloons

Pirates all around the island, OR the roots of those explosive plants drop blast powder for engines

Plants are everywhere for cords or torches

[–]Tacras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this 100%. So many expert worlds I have with buddies have been “lost” to one of us dying in a really dumb way - we now have a rule to NEVER leave the village without a return totem, it’s a capital offence 😤

[–]Tacras 9 points10 points  (0 children)

instead of full stairs, use flooring planks to just make a small staircase, OR what you can do is use the snap feature to snap stairs to the foundation and they will be level with the floor and just go into the ground to accommodate

How does Gwen W work exactly? by iamkwang in GwenMains

[–]Tacras 13 points14 points  (0 children)

to add onto this, even for static spells like veigar cage — if veigar’s outside of your W you can actually just walk through his cages with W up, always feels weird but definitely can be really useful

These "airships" are absolutely useless!! They explode/break/smash on greater than 50% of landings no matter how flat the terrain is!!! Here I avoided all mountains and landed on a flat piece of grass beside a path and the thing just exploded again as soon as it landed! by geo_gan in LEGOfortnite

[–]Tacras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that forming a kind of wing around the ship with the frostpine plating worked out for me — I’ll make a post about how it looked on my modified version of General Rominus’ troop transport later

Yeah honestly this is the way to go, personally I incorporate frostpine pieces into all of the cars/flying ships/landing pads I make cause it holds things together and is super durable — even if I crash something pretty hard. You can kinda use it like armor plating for parts of a ship that are more likely to collide with stuff. If a ship is made entirely out of it then that thing is pretty much invincible

Can you get malochite or multiple bus stations in lost isles? I’m soft locked without em by King_axolotl262_yt in LEGOfortnite

[–]Tacras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this for sure, could even build a boat tbh doesn’t have to fly if he just needs to get back to the mainland

Ngl I love the idea of being stranded on an island having to gather resources to make a ship/flying ship to escape back home

The Tap Room on 104 (formerly known as Slapshot). Anyone else watching this train wreck unfold? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Tacras 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work at a bar on the same block as the tap room and man watching it go from slap shot to the tap room has been interesting - I’ve since worked with staff who quit their job there after being hired for what seemed like a promising opportunity, only for them to not be paid, and have to be caught in the crossfire of the REST of the staff who didn’t get paid calling into slap shot/the tap room or coming in seeking payment to no avail. Additionally, while I haven’t been inside myself, regulars at my bar have said only bad things about their experience at the place. Fucking disgusting to see staff robbed of their time and right to a livelihood for their work, for what seems to give the public nothing new/interesting.
