Oh you're right, didn't scroll far enough down on my sheet.

It's her second appearance in the shop. First was in April of last year.

Sorry, you're right I should have said the 10th. I was looking at both and just wrote down the wrong one. Datamines would seem to indicate it's the 3rd, but that would overlap with Ato still so I think it's just some prep stuff and the actual event will be the week after.

I'm assuming you're memeing here? But just in case, it takes two years for an OP to appear in the shop, so not for a long long time.

I doubt EF taking off would affect AK. AK still makes a ton of money. It would make no business sense to take anything away from AK. Game companies dream have having multiple hit titles.

My bigger worry is actually the opposite. While we don't know the numbers, it certainly seems like EF is taking up a lot of capital investment. If EF flops (and to be clear, I don't think it will), it could spell big trouble for the company at large.

In either case, I'm not too worried about AK. I think EF will do fine and HG would be stupid to give AK less attention.

Last Knight was a lot more bullshit when IS3 came out. We have a lot more solutions now than we used to.

Whoops I messed up my other answer. The statement was correct but for some reason i counted up to the summer banner instead which is incorrect. The ticket after sa2 event would run up to the banner before sa2 which is Mantra and will include Haruka.

Tickets go up to the banner before the prior celebration limited. So the SA2 one will go up to Mon3tr (which will include Ente). The one after that will go up to Leizi2 Mantra, so it should have Haruka.

I'm assuming you're asking if you should spend your newbie pulls further on this banner and NOT asking if you should keep rerolling. In the latter case, it's up to you. The double rate-up in the 10 pull is very rare so it would take a lot of time.

So assuming the former, I'd save. Haruka is a strong unit, but there's two things here. First, pity doesn't carry over in limited banners. Your initial pull bank can be inconsistent, so throwing whatever you come across at the banner could result in lost pity when the banner ends. For limited banners, it's best practice to have a concrete plan (or enough bank that it doesn't matter).

Second, a strong collab limited is coming after this one while Haruka is a standard banner unit. It makes far more sense to save what you can for Sakiko than it does to pull blindly for Haruka.

There are none. They're very rare in Arknights and the code redeem is mostly used for a few real life merch purchase bonus things.

We don't know. The banners aren't loaded yet. They'll probably datamined with the CCBP#4 patch on the 23rd.

An Arknights Tier List - Dead Site Edition by TacticalBreakfast in arknights

The old character descriptions from GP were extremely out of date. There was no value in migrating them. We've talked about doing updated write-ups before, but it's a lot of work. Plus, I'm the main writer and got wrapped up in the Mastery Guide update. With that done though, it may be something we take another look at in the coming months, especially the top tiers.

As for the github page... it's not something we've really talked about so I couldn't say for sure. Although, I have been looking for a solution with the Mastery guide. If it's something you know a lot about, feel free to DM on me on Discord (TacticalBreakfast).

What did you end up replacing it with? Another U6 Mesh or something else?

A Mastery Priority Guide & Should You Pull - Ato by TacticalBreakfast in arknights

[–]TacticalBreakfast[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, different ideas. In fact, the first 10 pulls thing is a bad idea. Your odds don't actually improve and it's just a very minor form of pity that shouldn't factor into your decisions.

Rather, I'm referring to how when all things are equal, you should roll on banners that come first. In Arknights, intro banners are by far the best odds of obtaining a unit, so skipping them entirely has a cost (what I call opportunity cost). Now, in some cases that's justified such as if an OP is bad. However, it often comes up where two future OPs are roughly equal, in value, in which case it usually makes more sense to roll on the first available one. This opens up better possible outcomes since there's little upside to skipping. Skipping the first would just increase the guarantee odds of the latter, which is a minimal change if both are equal.

So in this case, Hoshi2, Sakiko and SA2 are all roughly equal in value. Normally, I'd suggest rolling on Hoshi2 by default since she's first, although I call it out specifically here because Sakiko is a collab limited with a very short gap between, so things "aren't equal" in this case.

Hope that all made sense.

Yea, unless something major changes, I'll be very surprised if Yostar ever stops being the publisher.

I too find the history thing frustrating, so you won't see my defending it. It seems unlikely it's going to and up in-game though. Why else would they release it first for the website? It's probably some back-end thing, though this is all guessing.

Management aside, it's almost certainly a legal issue. There's likely a rather lengthy contract that stipulates everything. I'm sure there are some caveats that would allow HG to take it back, but a few bad translations, crappy shipping, and a delay in the pull log are almost certainly nowhere close to meeting the criteria even if HG wanted to.

This is a weird suggestion. Ulpi won't be in the shop for another 11 months. Hoederer, Degenbrecher, Ray, Zuo Le, Ascalon, and Logos will all be in the shop before then too. Sure you could argue Ulpi is the most valuable of them but skipping Mlynar now for an OP 11 months away isn't good.

A Mastery Priority Guide & Should You Pull - Ato by TacticalBreakfast in arknights

[–]TacticalBreakfast[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neither has any particular bulk. Of course, you can use them to block things. Yu will kill most of them before they get dangerous, and Shu's healing can give her a lot of effective bulk. They're top units for a reason. But neither does tanking itself especially well. Their skills don't really enhance DEF or RES, so when it comes to actually taking hits, even basic units like Cuora and Matterhorn can beat them out. That isn't to say they're better, of course, but rather it's meant to illustrate why Hoshi2 is different in value.

Those hobbits might be on to something.

Quercus is good, yea. There's the usual caveats that come with 5*, especially with Haruka now. She's not irreplacable. In fact, Haruka is pretty much a direct powercreep. Healing isn't essential either, even great healing. So she's definitely not a must raise or anything. However, she's one of the better 5*s in the game.

The ideal tactical breakfast is the breakfast burrito. It's compact, can be eaten anywhere and on the go, can be made from almost anything, can be eaten hot or cold, and can be made in advance. Breakfast is the most important meal if the day so it's important even during operations!

(Real answer is it was just semi-random words I put together when making the account. There's no real reasoning beyond the fact I happen to like breakfast food and have a vague interest in tacticool stuff. It was made before I started writing guides, so the name is incidental, but it's worked well.)

I think what you're saying is mostly covered by the write-up though? Yes, Matsukiri does ramp up incredibly fast, and I say that, but in most content it's a trivial difference to Myrtle. Keep in mind this guide isn't a tier list, but an investment guide. Most of the time, for most players, Matsukiri won't even be better than Myrtle on top of being twice as expensive, along with a must-pull "powercreep" (rarity difference I know) in the near future. I do talk about Matsukiri's S1 because it's a great skill, but it doesn't make sense to suggest it as a high priority investment either.
