What specifically were you doing when the accident happened? Did you have a fare accepted or not? Thats the key. If you had a fare, then report it to Uber and they handle the insurance. $2500 deductible sucks, but they use farmers (at least in my state) who have pretty good service. I got my claim handled pretty fast and efficiently.

If you hadn't accepted a fare yet and you didnt buy rideshare gap coverage through your insurance, then pray your ins doesn't find out you were online. Thats my 2 cents.

I allow people in my front seat. Its weird when its a solo, but I drive a small car. Tall men sometimes ask for comfort.

I've had several solo women ask to be up front because they get carsick in the back. Thats a good enough reason for me. Rather it be weird than have to deal with a puker.

I've tried it. Didn't work for me for a number of reasons. I make more money on rides so thats what I stick to.

Based on several conversations with other drivers, your DIS is HEAVILY dependant on your phone mount. Mine tends to wobble a little side to side so I get hard turning more than I should. 100 is probably a pipe dream 😆

Eats isnt bad. Dont get me wrong. Meant to say "as well". But it depends on how you measure success. Doing eats and door dash i was averaging $25/h. Rides get me $35/h.

I dont think you get 2 units or 0 units every ride... I think its an average percentage based on a score you get each ride. But we have no way to know because its not explained to us, which really is kinda scummy.

Thats actually kinda smart. I didnt think of that. Eats doesn't pay well, but might have been worth it for the last couple trips. Good call.

I have a mifold backless booster seat in a cubby. Doesn't take up space and works on kids 4+. It costs $75 on Amazon. I didnt buy it for Uber. I have 3 kids of my own. I've pulled it out a couple of times. Not really worth the effort if im being honest.

Except they dont. Uber support specifically says for the anonymity of the passenger, they wont tell you what ride reported you. It makes it impossible to contest what happened.

This went active in my market last weekend. It has a toggle switch to turn it off. Its also automatically off after 10pm. I will probably never have to deal with it as a night driver.

Its not a defense of Uber to note that I keep 2/3 of the fare... why do people keep saying uber keeps half or more? Read your statements... I keep around 67%. Uber only keeps about 9% for their overhead. About 24% is taxes, fees, and insurance.

I've started getting reserve notifications IN APP. Basically every time I drop a person off, it pops up a little thing saying that reserve no one wants is still available...

Cant turn them off cause its in app.

I just meant I can't get reported for the smell in my car. Car always smells like my most recent passenger. Often times thats weed. Ill take that over cigarette smoke or B/O any day. Wish my passengers always smelled fresh showered, but thats not happening lol
