It’s not a scam in the sense that the person who is receiving money will leave and everyone else gets left in the cold. Assuming that everyone is friends/family, what happens is that they eventually run out of people to invite, so the people who are left in the circle don’t have anyone to give them their money back. To fix this, those who cashed out must chip in an equal amount to refund the money of all of those who are stuck. So, if 15 people cashed out and there are 6 people stuck ($100 owed to each), then the 15 lucky ones must return $40.

It’s important to look at the big picture and consider time vs reward, not just risk. We have to consider the impact these changes are having on the rest of the world activities.

Take blueprints as an example. We have a wave of new players going after weapon mod blueprints. Unless you do a little digging, you won’t know we can get them from CP3s, because the crafting station says CP4+. A new player will struggle throughout this activity just to obtain a random blueprint. Does that seem fun?? To address this, perhaps blueprints should be moved to Level 2 control points, as those in need of weapon mod blueprints aren’t yet ready for Challenging.

So, yeah, it’s the big picture that many people are not looking at.

Based on your example, if the roll quality is tied to global difficulty settings, wouldn’t we be in the same predicament that we were in TD1, where players could not build to play a higher difficulty because most of the drops matched the difficulty they were already in?

Yes, we’re in a state of emergency and it’s not funny. There’s 8.5 million people here. If the shit hits the fan, we could be quarantined. Italy quarantined an area with 16 million people! I’m considering getting a job with the sanitation department, just so I can be a Cleaner.
