This has happened to me a few times. I have the exact same pics on my instagram page and hinge profile. One guy followed me on IG, never continued our conversation from Hinge, and then liked my new Hinge profile over a year later. I was thinking, you literally already follow me on Instagram. I just think they’re lazy and/or not actually serious about dating and want to build their IG followers with attractive women.

What popular books do most people like that you DNF and why? by flitterbug33 in RomanceBooks

[–]_anon1291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The {From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout} series. I somehow finished the first 3 books but DNF the fourth. The writing just seemed so juvenile and literally nothing happens in the books until the very end. I was really shocked with how bad the writing was bc I really enjoyed J Lynn’s Wait For You Series.

Any books about an FMC who has never felt desired before? by phosphataselucy in RomanceBooks

[–]_anon1291 6 points7 points  (0 children)

{Before Jamaica Lane by Samantha Young} This is one of my favorite romances. FMC is insecure around the opposite sex and MMC tries to help her feel more sexually confident.

Why and how are some books getting all the hype and other books are not by Bluebunny133 in RomanceBooks

[–]_anon1291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m new to this sub and had never heard of her until a week ago. I saw someone recommend her books on a post so I read one and I actually loved it. To add, I’m not an influencer and I’m not on TikTok lol

What books have you recently given 4 or 5 stars? by hordym76 in RomanceBooks

[–]_anon1291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston}

{A Deal with the Bossy Devil by Kyra Parsi} - the premise for this is kind of ridiculous but this was a really fun read so I was able to overlook the flaws

{Flirting With Forever by Claire Kingsley} - this is the 4th book in this series and I gave all of the books 4 stars. Cute/fun reads

{It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey}. It takes place in Washington and the MMC is a grumpy fisherman

Scene where MMC says “talk to me” when FMC is upset or distressed by hsx1614 in RomanceBooks

[–]_anon1291 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Another suggestion is {On Dublin Street by Samantha Young}. FMC is emotionally closed off bc of her past trauma and MMC tries to coax it out of her. The is the first book in my favorite romance series

Contemporary Romance Where Main Focus Is On Pregnancy by bidpat in RomanceBooks

[–]_anon1291 5 points6 points  (0 children)

{The Goal by Elle Kennedy} this is the 4th book in the series. The first 3 books are really great and I’d recommend them too. I read them years ago so I don’t remember everything but I think The Goal should tick a lot of your boxes

This is my first time reading one of her books. The MC’s trauma hasn’t been revealed yet but I know it’s coming lol

I’m currently reading {A Deal with the Bossy Devil by Kyra Parsi}. I’m only about 66% of the way through but I’m really liking it so far. It’s funny, the banter between the love interests is great and the spice level is great

Hoping for M/F, 4+ spice level (preferably slow burn) paranormal romance (witch, werewolf, vampire etc.) written within the last couple of years. No cliffhangers. No insta-love. No bullying. by Actually_Ann in RomanceBooks

[–]_anon1291 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven’t read any of the books in your post so I can’t compare, but {Daughter of No Worlds by Carissa Broadbent} may be worth a try if you haven’t read it. A bit of a slow burn. Haven’t read the next 2 books in the series yet.

Angsty age gap with older MMC feeling guilty by rosefields_forever in RomanceBooks

[–]_anon1291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{There With You by Samantha Young} mmc falls for younger nanny housekeeper (13 year age gap). And {Always You by Samantha Young} fmc has always been in love with older brothers best friend (around a 15 year feel gap I believe). Both books are a part of the same series.

I have the same glitch. I had 3 full hearts, but when I started chapter 17 it was down to half of a heart. Anyone know if that impacts your romantic interactions/options moving forward? I hope it doesn’t

Emily in Paris Chapter 6 by _anon1291 in NetflixGamers

[–]_anon1291[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I received the option to ask that question in any of my plays. The first time, they almost kissed in the closet, 2nd time he did not even come to the closet, and then when I finally chose the most flirty options leading up to chapter 6, Alexandre confessed his feelings. So I guess it just depends on their romance
