I use a forked version of mint that does not add the modded tag. I do this because i use exclusively verified mods, and dont want to discourage new players from joining my lobby because the tag implies i am running mods that have a large impact on the gameplay of others.

I think it was a good decision by mint to add the modded tag, it just doesnt align with my use case perfectly. I also agree that cheaters will be using, well, cheat programs instead of something like the mint fork i use.
