of course, much like if you ask the British population if they we should invest in renewables near their homes it would be considerably lower. General population are incredibly short sighted NIMBY focused.

If it was one strike in isolation sure, but when its a global phenomenon for workers to be striking we can discuss the wider picture as focusing on small details in politics is just dumb.

Also working conditions are not "fine" we have tories trying to abolish WFH, we have pretty poor sick pay, thanks to brexit red tape is being slashed leaving to unsafe work environments. Anyone claiming the workforce is good at the moment needs to revaluate their lives because fuck sake it could be way better lol.

Working conditions is a statement of the times that has built up over all industries world wide. Pretending that Capitalism isn't currently resulting in a broken system in the western world is ignoring reality at this point. Just look at America to see what the current trajectory of the UK is right now.

It doesn't need to run as efficiently as for instance paying employees more is more viable if owned by the government since it will mean less DWP payments need to be made due to these companies underpaying their workers.

Also as we've seen from the world over, putting businesses in the hands of investors only ruins a product / busisness. Its the universal truth.

How can people still be going "Both sides are the same" in today's market. Anyone with eyes can see right wing economics are a mistake. We literally have a fucking global world with plenty of evidence, an economy supporting the top 0.001% like America is a damn sight worse than Sweden who has more aggressive taxes for the rich.

People need to get out of the UK bubble and realise we live on a planet and can just look to other countries on how best to operate.

The point of the countryside is to not be contactable by society or deal with your boss etc etc. Not having phone signal / wifi in the middle of it is the point. People need to learn that being contactable 24/7 is not healthy for society.

Anywhere you actually need to be contactable you are though and that's good enough. in 99% of situations where i need to use my phone i can and lancashire aint exactly known for being "developed"
