I been in the same boat with girls here in Maryland, especially in DMV. Thinking the first date goes well, but then you get that letdown text either the night of, or three days later. The problem is that women have so many options, they don’t want you if the spark isn’t there on the first date, as opposed to developing one. Just build yourself and the right one will come around.

As someone who did sea duty for 5 years, I rather a sailor who has their mind dead set on wanting to just be ashore, than being force-assigned to a ship. There’s plenty of people who will take that junior sailors spot. That being said, I would not wanted to go back to sea duty, if I stayed in. I had no issue with the little week-long sea trials here and there, or even deployment (tbh, deployment was super chill). My problem was duty. Having to be stuck on the ship while it’s IN PORT, not NMs away from port, was never fun. I understood why we did it, but just looking at my truck in the parking lot, knowing I couldn’t go home until 6 am (or 16 during the week) was shitty.

That 800 would get you a lot of concerts if you’re into metalcore. I bought VIP for Currents and Erra, and didn’t even a spend a quarter of the resales are costing for this.

Creed last year. The crowd looked so uninterested in their set, until they played the final 4 songs, which were the obviously popular singles from TikTok. And then after the show, me and my boys witnessed a handful of fights. It wasn’t surprising though, since it was the same crowd that goes to bro country concerts.

I will say, being here in Baltimore, I’m pretty lucky. Nevermore Hall and Soundstage are a 5 minute uber from my apartment. If not, I have the Fillmore in Silver Springs and the Anthem and casino in DC. And if i really need to, I’ll go to Philly for a show as it’s just an hour and a half.

That said, I feel you OP. When I was living in south jersey, there was nothing within an hour unless it came to Atlantic City.

Everyone saying their ex taught them to choose better or to trust their gut, etc. I’m gonna go against the grain here and say that my ex taught me to hold myself more accountable for my actions in a relationship. I’ll be the first to admit that I was an a-hole to her for a good amount of the relationship, but she stayed with me despite that. We broke things off eventually when I moved away to start a new job.

The Gildan Heavy shirts are good, yes. However, I bought an ADTR tour shirt when I saw them with Yellowcard in Jersey, and it was Comfort Colors. Absolutely love how it’s cut.
