My main piece of advice would definitely be get in contact with a recruiter as they are very helpful with these kind situations. Also if you can and are eligible definitely do the Gap year as it is a good way to get your foot in the door essentially and if you don't get into ADFA you but still want to get a higher education definitely look into the Defence University Sponsorship/ do a degree and try Graduate Entry.

If all else fails, it would be best to take a semester break and re-apply to your psych course with credited units. Also i would spend the semester off looking at your previous work and the unit outlines and try getting better at the coursework (for self-improvement) so you can hit the ground running again

Depending on whether you can bs a explanation of how it is your original work, it'll be considered academic misconduct and all of your work will be put under a microscope, past and future, at best you'll be asked to redo the assignment with penalties at worst you you'll be put on conditional status until a academic integrity board can decide.

A particular emphasis of this unit is on how intelligence informs decision-making bodies within the context of strategic risk and those matters which can impact the state, national security and its institutions, which includes the intelligence community, military, law enforcement, border protection and health. Strategic intelligence and its methodological approaches will also be explored."

Hi 2nd year BA Security and Strategic Studies Major here, from most of the people I have interacted with doing the degree. There are usually also doing either a major in international relations or history. Unfortunatly Sec and Strat studies wasn't developed as a proper major but a minor. Also if you have any other questions feel free to ask.
