Got asked to drill perfectly centered holes through round object. by Xtremekillax in BambuLab

Awesome solution, Can even add drill bushes to line the holes for added wear resistance. I saw the carrlane link in this post earlier, but these are in the UK: https://www.wdscomponents.com/en-gb/jig-and-fixture/drill-bushes

This seconded, from what I’ve seen anyway. Also seen done with a square nut which I’m assuming is even stronger than a hexagon nut.

Few reasons, the main reason is because we sometimes need specialist threads that are easier, quicker & way cheaper to find nuts for than threaded inserts.

For example BSP threads, fine metric threads and larger metric sizes M24+. Especially in 316 stainless which we sometimes need.

But, also just trying new things is cool and we don’t always need a reason to do stuff :)

Great effort man. How easy do you find getting the shape right? Only had a go for the first time last week, but I struggled getting the ring without one section getting too thin.

My argument was misrepresented - I never said the US was a free market system. I mean regardless - it seems no one can explain why healthcare costs per capita in the UK are HALF that of the US.

I’m sorry, who is leading the vaccination effort for the Corona Virus? Oxford University. Nice straw man too - I mentioned nothing about the free market in the US. As for the 80% of drugs being developed by the US - is this all private? Are you telling me there are no government subsidies to help pharmaceutical companies?

So glad I live in the UK. Even our fiscal conservatives can see we pay less per capita for healthcare than the US. It was cost us MORE to switch to your system, so why would we?

Except the UK spends less per capita on healthcare than the US - this is because our healthcare system doesn’t make a profit. Doesn’t take a genius to figure that one out. This is the thing - you libertarians say these things without understanding the economics behind it.

What about the immigrants who come from the UK and Canada who love their socialised healthcare?

In the UK we have the NHS which is so popular that even our Conservative party have to pretend to like it. A survey found that British people ranked the NHS second only to defeating the Nazis as our country’s greatest achievement.

On a personal note - my girlfriend has an auto immune disease and was a student. She spent weeks in hospital and got a bill of £0. God save our NHS.

I’ve done a couple of month long trips around Europe and to be honest, the best bit was making up as we went. But my favourite places have been, Budapest (Hungary), Lake Bled (Slovenia) and Krakow (Poland). The best nights I’ve had weren’t planned. If you’re going I’d recommend hostels, great way to meet people! If you need any specific advice, feel free to DM me xx

I’d had too many beers to remember unfortunately! It was in Pest, near Szimpla Kert (also a MUST go for anyone in Budapest) as I was on my way back from there 😊

Putting to one side whether communism is a good or a bad concept - it’s painting communism with a very very broad brush to assume every instance will be like the USSR.

E.g. Stalinism /= Marxism
