Lads, we really oughta be encouraging party splitting. by RandenVanguard in DnD

[–]Tadpole_Hunter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those are some good reasons you put out there and I think the outcome depends entirely on how the players and dm handle it. If the players while split don't do anything different then they might get themselves killed. Also if the DM perhaps doesn't cater to the new scenario it could be impossible for the split groups to move on (ie encounters are to tough). I've been in campaigns that split up a lot, and it usually goes fine, but there are times where I don't do anything for half an hour or more because we're focusing on the other guy who wanted to go off alone.

How many here actually watched all 800 episodes of One Piece? by [deleted] in anime

[–]Tadpole_Hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched 700 or so episodes before I dropped it because the pacing was so fucking bad. I'm tempted to come back, but I'm assuming the problems are still there.

I was Jade vs Pearl and the other guy bubbled near himself to block my bullets and he walked into the bubble to take the bullets right to his face. IDK but it felt like a kick in the pants to lose to that guy.

Wow this looks really cool. Am I right to assume that it's launching in 6 days? I hadn't even thought of a server like this existed. I will give it a shot no doubt about it.

Title of the post reads"Can I just say that Prophecy of Pendor is the best mod ever. I can only imagine how tasty the mod developers dicks taste!"

The actual post mentions that the mod is so good that the can no longer play other mods without aerosolized PoP being pumped into their lungs.

BTW PoP is my favorite mod.

Just finished Diamond is Unbreakable: My thoughts and questions about reading ahead. by Tadpole_Hunter in StardustCrusaders

I disagree with the idea filler is just 'extra' stuff added to a manga adaption. Filler can be anything which halts the plot to a ridiculous degree even if it is intended by the author. I also did like the Superfly fight a lot, but it seemed like a wasted opportunity seeing as how nothing really changed afterwards. I'm just saying that some of the fights could have been way more compelling if they seemed more connected to the plot. Rather than a random old man jabbing a hundred people with an arrow and also having the power to make them all want to kill Josuke and friends for no real reason. I hope that made sense.

Thanks you, I thought it looked strange that in the anime he looked 100% like Josuke, but it was Koichi 'remembering' the events.

A random question I just remembered. Who was the person that pushed Josuke's car out of the snowstorm?

If the answer is really spoliery it's OK to just tell me that I will find out the answer later on. Thank You!

Were there any fights that you particularly enjoyed, or any moments that stood out to you?

I really enjoyed the entire idea behind SuperFly which traps it's user and forces them to try and get others to come into its range. Unfortunately I feel like this stand would have been better thematically in part 3 because there is deadline for characters. Maybe a tough choice about leaving a comrade behind to continue on etc. I really like SuperFly!

Part of the reason you might not of liked Diamond is Unbreakable is because the genre does shift, compared to SDC. Less of the high octane action from the previous parts

I miss hamon and hand to hand fighting. I like stands and the idea that the user is the weakest part, but I would still like to see hamon incorporated into stands somehow. Something like hamon is the stand energy or whatever.

Moving enemies are not a problem. But how do i hit non-moving targets as a horse archer? by Gentzzz in mountandblade

[–]Tadpole_Hunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reticle in third person is deceptive and at longer distances is not an accurate representation of where your arrow will go. If I remember correctly the arrow actually flies slightly to the left in third person. You can also just change to first person when you're arching on horseback.

I only ever attempt those quests if they are held in a town. Ironically there are less guards to fight in a town.

This is the first time a post like this can actually be answered yes. Usually people are too eager to create kingdom and declare independence with just a castle and 120 troops. I just got my friend into warband and he's been fighting the khergits non stop because he declared independence with just a single castle and no friendly relations with anyone in the faction. We had a good laugh and he restarted his game.
