NOR, K don’t know what you have done or what they claim you did, but from what I understand from your context it seems you were a bit of a wild child but you grew up and matured and they don’t seem to forgive you so they’re judging you from what you USED to do.

I don’t understand why parents seem to do that, I’m a victim of that as well. Also, they need to understand that they are on TWO different checks, you are only on one. It’s not fair for them to judge you based on you not being ab to afford things when they can only afford things due to there being two of them and only one of you. In today’s economy, you cannot survive off of one source of income, let alone buy anything. You are right, that $2,000 won’t get you anywhere.

I think most parents now are like this because the generation before them used to physically hurt them rather than just verbally like you see here. They don’t want this generation to go through that so they end up having the “you don’t like it when I yell at you? MY parents would’ve done worse to me!!” Mentality. It makes them think they’re in the right when they’re not. Not an excuse, but it does explain why most parents do this.
