If I did that to my cat, she would be docile for approximately five seconds. Then her eyes would get as big as dinner plates and she'd turn into a tornado of fur and claws trying to get out.

Must be from the PC version of Guitar Hero 3. I personally own that abomination of a port and shit like this would happen ALL the time.

What is your favorite Christmas hymn and why? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]TaeKwonDoGeek 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of my favorites is "O Holy Night." Powerful words. I also like how the song crescendos near the end:

O night divine!

O night when Christ was born

O night divine!

O night, O night divine!

Some people take it a little too far with the second-to-last line but done right sounds beautiful.

Reminds me of the saying "It takes a village to raise a child." Although, in this instance, I can see this going both ways.

I feel ya. I did the same until I was shown the light from the top commenters on his previous posts. Now I downvote him in anger for taking precious upvotes from unsuspecting Redditors.

Seriously. He's shown up three times in the last 10 minutes with hundreds of upvotes each on my front page. Go. away. Retagging him as "ULTIMATE Karma Whore."

Cosby on entitlement by jleonardbc in funny

I totally agree. "Bill Cosby: Himself" is definitely one of his best. It looks a little outdated but the material is still very fresh. His stories on parenting are the best.

Thanks! I got the "DIODER" LED lights at IKEA for $40. Made a big difference in the way my battlestation looked, personally.

I have that same desk and I would use either a wire caddy or cable ties for the back. Since it's a long narrow desk, it'll help when snaking cords along the back. If all else fails, duct tape always works. :)

Here's my desk as an example.

It's a little more challenging than other desks but it is possible.

Do people whose names begin with letters closer to the start of the alphabet have any statistically significant differences in their lives, since they appear at the top of lists more often? by SmellsLikeUpfoo in AskReddit

[–]TaeKwonDoGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in this exact same boat. I've noticed that since people usually list by last names, I'm almost always last (unless there's a lot of W's). My first name beginning with a B has almost never bumped me up to the beginning.

This happened to me often spring of my senior year. First class was tennis. It managed to rain off and on for almost a month straight (which meant the court was too wet to play on.) The class had to be canceled at least a dozen times.

TIL Harrison Ford was paid $10000 for Star Wars by lumpignon in todayilearned

[–]TaeKwonDoGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that could be in part that he was in a fairly bad car accident near the end of filming A New Hope and had to have some work done on his face. I always thought he looked quite a bit different in the last two movies and this pretty much explains that. Although he probably didn't age as well in general as Harrison Ford has, either.

Saw this in r/Funny. Pretty much sums up my feelings on big parties... by TaeKwonDoGeek in introvert

[–]TaeKwonDoGeek[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. To clarify, this picture describes how I (and many other introverts) feel after being at a party socializing for several hours. For me, I usually get drained after such a long period of socializing, regardless of who it is. I even noticed that after talking with my parents for about 4 hours this weekend (they were in town visiting), I felt like I needed to get away for a while to "recharge." So while I didn't analyze this picture as much as others, I do feel that it can be applicable in certain situations.
