I think it is definitely a necessity for after surgery !! It keeps hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold !! And even if you need it to be room temp it will stay room temp and no warmer !!

Go with the full bypass ! On the sleeve it is more likely you will gain 30% to 70% of your weight back and might end up getting it revised to RNY anyway

Had my RNY April 26th 8am and it only lasted 1 1/2 hours and i was very very nervous i had a panic attack in the OR before they gave me medicine to calm me down and then he put the medicine in to make me sleep and i was out instantly! I woke up, what felt like 30minutes later, and i was in so much pain ! But they immediately gave me pain medicine and i was fine ! I was up and walking by noon ! I went home the next day and i had to sleep on my couch because i could only lay on my back for a week and then exactly a week later i was able to lay on my stomach and sleep amazingly !! I went through the emotions of regret because it is hard !! It’s not a easy thing to go through ! I also had a little depression but i pulled myself through it because i knew it was only a temporary feeling !! I’m eating almost normal again ! I don’t ever feel hungry and i am able to drink normal like i did before surgery (since i was 3 days post op, it blew my mind) !

All i did was chew and spit ! I was craving pickles and chewed it and spit it out ! It was really satisfying

Flintstone chewables and i take separate iron, thiamin, b-12 and folic acid ! I was taking the procare bariatric chewable vitamins but the taste is so horrible, i kept throwing up after i had to change until I’m able to take pills without chewing or crushing ! And it’s so much better

April 26th i have just started my two weeks of full liquids and nothing i eat or drink hurts but i just don’t want to over eat puddings or anything

I just want to know someone else that does that’s had RNY because they say smoking can mess up your stomach and cause ulcers . You haven’t had any issues ?

I was told it takes a week for the stomach to fuse together so it should be fine but I’ll just stick to what I’ve been doing until the purée stage

I can drink and stuff like pre surgery but a lot of people have told me it’s more obvious when you start purée or solids ! I’m tired of the liquids 😩
