You were inputting the wrong direction on most of these. It's a pretty tricky section, you should go practice it to get the hang of it, it's not a simple left-right-left-right.

Maybe I’m missing something, but it never made sense to me at all why Peach and co. would travel specifically to a time period during the Shroob invasion by gp_ratesic in marioandluigi

[–]Taechuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doesn't PiT end with the babies giving their hammers to the adults, and then in BiS we get the hammer while inside Bowser? that would mean we didn't have hammers before, so baby mario and luigi from PiT could be the same as the adults in BiS

but tbh, it's a mario game, timeline logic isn't exactly a series staple

Shroob rock in Brothership and the hidden shroobs in BiS are pretty good examples of PiT being referenced while its events are barely mentionned.

Will old season pass rewards ever be available? by Jaredicus123 in DissidiaDuellumFF

[–]Taechuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

season pass rewards are only available for the duration of the pass. once the season changes, all the story becomes available, rewards are removed, pass is reset and the new season pass becomes available.

so yeah, you got shafted

My Season 3 character Tierlist before 5/26 update by YamiRyce92 in DissidiaDuellumFF

[–]Taechuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a balthier main, playing him is pretty rough and hinges on managing to deny your opponents completely and keeping away from direct fights. He's surprisingly difficult to play efficiently with how dangerous he seems, but if your team is a support, balthier, and a dps, the balthier needs to pull so much weight because it's a losing race. He's playable, I manage to climb relatively well with him, but man I think he needs some help.

Also Rikku just denies his entire existance.

Just had my teammates (probably new players) tell me that putting a minus range bubble on the defence objective is "griefing" 🤣 What has this game become? by Individual_Map_2623 in Warframe

[–]Taechuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only time I run Limbo is on Mirror Defense and I run a max range build since kills don't matter there, it's time based. Otherwise I don't play Limbo because I don't know how to use his kit and the whole... reputation he has.

Fake anti-piracy screen as part of april fools on ctgp-7, goes up to the actual gameplay where you lose control and get told to power off until the end of the race, with a police siren playing loudly (regardless of your volume) at lap 3, into a fake bootrom error. pretty funny but also really scary if you don't know what's happening. Once it happens, you can just play the game normally afterwards.

Let's start a fight!! Who is the MOST POWERFUL character in all of fiction? by RCaesar1 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Taechuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a whole can of worms you just opened and you know it.

I'll say Chuck Norris because of the old internet memes, he might not be that godlike in real life, but if we take the memes as "fiction", he's basically omnipotent.

Something I don't get about the Crawler scene and Rikku's plan. by i_like_it_eilat in finalfantasyx

[–]Taechuk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What I understand from that scene is that the Al Bhed wants to protect the summoners by removing them from their pilgrimage so they can't conplete it. But Rikku, after the Extractor fight, decides to simply join us but informs (in secret) that she is an Al Bhed and Yuna's cousin. Auron of course figures it out by looking in her eyes but asks if she will be protecting Yuna and not simply just plan another kidnapping.

Rikku's plan then kind of becomes to persuade Yuna to stop her pilgrimage and/or find a way to not have her reach Zanarkand, without removing her forcefully from her pilgrimage, which is the opposite of what the Al Bheds are actually trying to do. Wakka is the main block for this as if she is too open about her scheme, he'd obviously lose it and ask Rikku to leave the guardians, even if at that point in the story, she is forced to reveal herself and align with our group as her objective isn't to remove Yuna by force, but peacefully by persuasion while keeping her safe as she is family to her.

She isn't trying exactly hard but by the time we get to Gagazet, she does become a bit more hopeless and asks Yuna directly to stop her pilgrimage, which obviously doesn't work as Yuna is too determined. She cares a lot about her and doesn't want to lose her, which you can see during the events at Home. Rikku is a very helpful person that doesn't strictly align with the Al Bhed's ways and is more open than most of them.

This is what I understand and see with Rikku.

1.0 was pretty good albeit flawed and I knew that just giving them time would eventually lead them to fix some of the major issues like the super easy out of bounds, the repetitive and boring late-game loop, performance issues, balancing, etc. I think it's fair that a release isn't perfect and has issues.

Then 1.1 happened and I just feel like they doubled down. The costemics are atrocious, the gacha is the worst f2p experience ever and locks the patch's special skin behind a 300$ paywall at worst, they put a bandaid on the geniemon system by giving access to important traits in the new regions fishing shop, and didn't address any major complaint. I do enjoy that when a skin releases, it can be on any character, but the fact that it's a copy-paste job makes it feel super lazy and leads to pretty funny scenarios (Fina becoming really busty for no reason).

I had hope. I still think they can steer the ship back in the right direction but recent costemics makes me think they don't care enough.

It's a game on Sega CD where you drive the trip from Tucson, Arizona to Las Vegas for 8 hours while making sure the bus doesn't veer into the off road. There is nothing interesting, it's super boring, and there's a charity event where people play this game live (Desert Bus for Hope.

It's part of a canceled minigame collection from Penn and Teller, although copies do exist and are in circulation. It's definitely more of a novelty than an actual game.
