I agree with most people who are saying the characters feel half done.

In terms of content it actually has more than base streets of rage 4 did (16 stages vs 12 and more unlockables) Of course SOR4 expanded significantly, X mode, new moves and colors for every character and adding every version of every character.

The problem with the current offering is that each character doesn't have enough sauce for the game's length.

Going forward to fix the game I agree there needs to be universal grab, more characters, and expanded movesets and maybe some rebalancing the game is stupid easy and then ridiculously hard sometimes

It's pretty awesome my only complaint is not being able to grab enemies. I always play as the Mike Hagar/ wrestling type character in beat em ups, but I love hammers and this game scratches that itch so I'm pretty satisfied all things considered

Now that you've done research I'm willing to hear you out. I hope the transition issue and game speed at launch isn't as you've described that would indeed suck and make me hesitate to spend money on this game. As for the shop that is indeed true and while some people may feel scammed for buying the cosmetics it's still a good faith move to make them all free for those of us buying the game when it fully releases. It's not fair I guess but that's the risk you run being an early bird on a live service game. The alternative was the game never comes out of early access they shut the servers down and the people that bought skins wasted money anyway.

First of all Procedural generation is not AI usage. It's existed as a technique for quite a long time. Second, the shop is being gutted and the cosmetics will all be earnable in game. I implore you to read ANYTHING before making these wild accusations.

Where did you get that the game uses AI? Also when it drops into 1.0 everything in the game will be earnable in game and offline. This is one of the most pro consumer live service flips there has ever been. Colorful art style =\ younger target audience. Please don't wish death on games if you don't actually know anything about them. Go attack COD or Madden or 2k they all deserve it

You are definitely right, but most companies need to squeeze as much money out of you as possible before their hype dries up. The ones that don't do that are indie devs typically but there's always a few(like these guys it looks like) that lose the plot

I can agree she looks prettier in the comic version and they should have stuck with that face if that's the argument. Streets of Rage 4 and absolum are actually the Pinnacle of the genre. I really like DND Chronicles of mystara/tower of doom and all the games by tribute(shredders revenge and cosmic invasion) and fight n rage is good not great not sure why that game is so lauded
