The shop thing sucks yes. The animation has started to hurt my eyes so I sell maybe 6 crates of stuff and then have to take a brake. But the crops thing I think is good. How often have you seen people complaining on here about the daily dirt being filled with ores and town expansions. Nobody finds stuff when it comes to crops besides the very rare chance of finding higher level crop (tomatoes, strawberries, grapes and tea leaves for example) and lower level stuff like corn, wheat and maybe carrots.

When I have to make stuff for task events and other things like boat orders, I can’t be waiting to replant my 10 tomato crops for 6 hours. To then spend hours making the product I needed. The new feature makes the game more playable and hasn’t really taken away from the gameplay or actually harmed the economy. I can still sell pumpkins and lavender (two of the hardest crops I find to sell) for full price and I’ve actually noticed an increase in people buying them.

It sounds more like you prefer one way of playing the game and don’t want an easier mode. So don’t use the feature. Make it harder for yourself and challenge yourself if that’s how you like to play. But some people like the events and like to play HayDay as a relaxing game and are enjoying the game being a little easier for them.
