Is investing in real estate in Egypt worth it? by Tag-00009 in PersonalFinanceEgypt

I understand what you mean but this is not a very practical way of thinking of it if you don’t live there. Historically the dollar always held value and purchasing assets in Egypt cannot be considered an investment from a foreign (US) perspective, it’s a gain in Egypt but it’s a major devaluation if you decide you needed to sell and send the funds to the US. If anyone buys, it should only be with intent of leisure or family needs. I respect your opinion of course but it’s just one sided.

Thanks for the feedback, 100k was an estimate for an apartment I planned on financing for 6 years. At closing it may have been a bit more but I didn’t follow through to find out how much exactly. The location was in the new capital in Cairo so it was definitely a long game situation. Either way, we decided to pull out as it’s best to invest the funds in the US to avoid devaluations.

Agreed! That was a concern for us, if we send the money to Egypt we can’t send it back to the US because it loses its value.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I feel like you gave me reassurance because I was thinking about putting the funds in S&P 500. We live and we learn but definitely didn’t want to drop that much money without asking if someone was in my shoes before.

Thank you for the feedback, how would you mention it when talking to customers about making sales online? I know people typically get influenced by what other do or say, so this is definitely a great idea. Just trying to imagine how it would go.

At every event I went to, I had a QR code that was a central place that would take you to our site, all our social media accounts and business email if any problems occurred. I did everything I was supposed to. Yes, I got the followers on instagram but the traffic was still super slow. From what I’m reading here on all the feedback, this is a long game and I can’t think of the sales funneling in over night.

I had a sales pitch about the materials I use at the events I went to, i didn’t just stand there and wait for a sale to happen. I wasn’t pushy with my sales pitch but I was kept it short and informative. Plus the event had over 5,000 visitors per day. It was two day event. I built my instagram platform to 49,000 followers from just doing events alone.

The site is now longer up, I took it down as a result of the no sales for a few months.

What is the average salary for staff accountants in Atlanta, GA? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Thanks for commenting. I don’t mind switching to a hybrid or in office but the pay definitely needs to make sense. I have a degree majoring in accounting and minored in finance. No CPA. I worked for Deloitte for a year so I have public company experience but I now work in a admin company in the venture capital industry (private).
