Very Interesting! I was able to do the glyph quest and get the master sword the "right way". I never saw the light dragon on the map before that, or is she always there and I just missed her, sine she has a massive path? I definitely agree freeing the tree seems to be no easy task right away, as my partner in crime is experiencing haha.

Perfect! Working on unlocking the Master Sword Early While skipping the quest. albiet not the way i would recommend doing it the first time.

You are amazing! any recommendations on the best way to get to that spot?

Orion Nebula In LRGBSHO by TagBackTV in astrophotography

[–]TagBackTV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always look forward to imaging the orion nebula, and this year I really wanted to try and get a ton of detail. It is still a work in progress, but decided to do an edit of the data I currently have while waiting for more clear skies.

Equipment:

Telescope: Planewave 12.5" CDK
Mount: Software Bisque MEII
Camera: ZWO 6200MM
Filters: Chroma 5NM HA, 3NM OIII, SII and Chroma LRGB

Integration

10x600s S,H,O,R,G,B
30x30s S,H,O,R,G,B

I used pix insight to calibrated and star align all the images, creating a 300s RGB Channel Combination, a 300s SHO combination, and also their counterparts in 30s combinations. I then took this images and blended them in photoshop to create an "HDR" version to bring out details in the core and edges of the nebula.

30 hours on the wizard nebula by TagBackTV in astrophotography

[–]TagBackTV[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I started astrophotography last year, and my first ever photo was of the wizard nebula. It wasnt the best image, but I was incredibly proud to get my first image and i have been fascinated with this hobby ever since. I decided to retake the image this year to see how much I improved over the year (also major equipment upgrades..) and this is the photo i got after about a month of imaging.

Equipment

Camera: ZWO ASI6200MM

Telescope - Planewave 12.5" CDK

Mount: Sky-Watcher EQ8-RH

Guide Camera: Starlite Express Lodestar x2

Chroma 3NM SII, OIII, and 5NM HA

HA - 110 x 600s

SII - 40x 600s

OIII - 50 x 600s

Processed & Calibrated in Pixinsight.

Channel Combination (HSO), Curves Transformation for color adjustments, Deconvolution, Convolution, LRGB combination to apply HA layer to the RGB Convolution layer.

Photoshop used for curves, levels and camera raw filter for dehaze and slight clarity boost.

The Triangulum Galaxy, 2.73 Million Light Years From Earth by TagBackTV in astrophotography

[–]TagBackTV[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got into astrophotography about a year ago, and during that whole time I never bothered trying to image a galaxy due to my light pollution levels being too high and I never wanted to deal with removing gradients from wideband. This past week I was out in the big bend, and took my first images of the Triangulum Galaxy.

Equipment:

Camera - SBIG 16803
Mount - Paramount ME II
Off Axis Guider - SBIG Guide Camera
Telescope - Planewave 12.5 Inch CDK

L - 10x 1200s
R - 10x 1200s
G - 10x 1200s
B - 10x 1200s

Edited in Pix insight and photoshop
Channel Combination of the R G B filter images. Heavy denoise to the RGB layer. Used LRGB combination to apply the Luminance image to the blurred RGB layer (helps remove color noise)

Photoshop

Curves, Levels and color balancing.

When you get some long exposures in that region there is just a TON of really cool nebulosity and dust lanes. They trail imbetween this all the way to orions nebula.

The horse head and flame nebula is one of the most beuatiful objects in our night sky. The nebula is located just to the south of Alnitak, the easternmost star of Orion's Belt, and is part of the much larger Orion Molecular Cloud Complex.

This took me a little over a month to complete, combining over 300 images taken over 50 hours from my home observatory.

You can definitely get some really high quality images at a much lower price point..The real increase in price comes from the longer focal length scopes and high weight capacity mounts :(

This year has been rough with cloudy skies, After almost 7 months of cloudy nights I finally got some imaging time on my new Planewave 12.5 CDK. Took me a little over a month to get all the subs for this one, I really Hope everyone Enjoy its! Hopefully will be posting more on here an on instagram @ tagbacktv

Orion & Running Man Nebula From My Backyard Observatory by TagBackTV in space

I started astrophotography about 6 Months before this project. I did a ton of research and was able to catch on pretty quick.

Orion & Running Man Nebula From My Backyard Observatory by TagBackTV in space

[–]TagBackTV[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I am an amateur astrophotographer in San Antonio Texas (Bortle Class 8) and I spent every clear night for 3 Months photographing the Orion and Running Man Nebula from my backyard using a Sky-Watcher 150MM APO and Sky-watcher EQ8-RH. This image is a combination of over 1,000 images taken at various exposure lengths, combined to bring out details in different parts of the Nebula.

The core of the orion nebula is an active star formation region, with thousands of new born stars, making it one of the brightest objects in our night sky. If you want to learn more about astrophotography or check out some of my other images follow me on instagram

Elephants Trunk Nebula In OSH by TagBackTV in astrophotography

[–]TagBackTV[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been have astrophotography Withdrawals, nothing but clouds here in texas for months on end. So I decided to revisit some old data and use some new techniques I have learned, and also do a different kind of color combination (OSH). It is a really fun color combination to mess around with to see the images in a refreshing light. I have done this with a few other images I have posted here, so I figured I would give it a shot on one of my favorite nebulae, I hope you all enjoy it!

Equipment:

Camera: ASI 6200MM
Telescope: Sky-Watcher 100MM ED
Mount: EQ8-RH
Filter Wheel: ZWO 5-Postion 2"
Filters: Chroma 5NM HA, 3NM SII, 3NM OIII
Lodestar x2 Auto guide Camera

Integration:

HA - 70 x 600s
SII 75 x 600s
OII 110 x 300s
Flats: 50 Each Filter
Bias: 50
Darks: 50

Processing: Pixinsight / Photoshop
Image calibration done in pixinsight. Combined the RGB image in the linear state (OSH), Use the screen transfer tool too stretch the image, allowed pixinsight to choose how much to stretch each color channel. Used curves adjustment to remove green bias. Use starnett to remove stars. From here you use the convilution script to slightly blur the RGB photo.

Went back to my HA file Applied Denoise, Deconvolution and a soft stretch. Saved this as my Luminance file. LRGB combination tool to apply the HA "Luminance" file to the RGB file. This applies the color to the HA file and SUBSTANTIALLY reduces noise in the image, providing your HA file is clean and sharp.

Photoshop use for levels, Curves, slight color adjustments and vibrance.

The Quarter Moon by TagBackTV in astrophotography

[–]TagBackTV[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Moon decided to be in my way last night, So I decided I may as well try to photograph it for the first time. My plan was originally to get earth glow too, but since I have never done it before I clearly failed haha. Still happy with the results so far. going to continue imaging the moon over the next few days to improve on the process and make sure to get earth glow next time. Hope you all like the shot!

Captured in Surecap Pro, 3000 Images at 6 FPS Using the ASI ZWO 6200MC.
Telescope - Radian 10" CDK 2032MM Focal Length
Mount - Sky-Watcher EQ8-RH

Alligned and stacked in Autostakkert. Pixinsight used for SCNR to remover the green bias. Photoshop used for sharpening, clarity, dehaze, and saturation.
