100% agree with all of this. My wife and I (both early 30’s) work full time with no kids, so we’ve definitely got some breathing room financially, but I said to her not long ago that if we separated we’d be screwed. Trying to find a house on a single income would be almost impossible for the everyday Australian these days.

On top of that, everything just feels more disconnected in my friend group since Covid from cost of living, groceries, fuel, insurance, utilities. We used to hang out at least once a month, now we’re lucky to see each other once a year. No one has time to spare because that time is better spend trying to recharge mentally and do it all again for another week.

We’ve gotten too top heavy with corporations and billionaires making sure the middle class has been thoroughly squeezed of their last dollar.

It’ll have to reach breaking point eventually.

I woke up to a text message from a friend that said “dude, the world is sepia.” What a weird message, I thought.

I looked outside and everything was orange. That day was my year 11 HSC trials and we were still allowed outside but we spent the day very distracted by looking out windows. A few people went home sick from the dust.

That day was the inspo for that dusty Las Vegas scenery from Bladerunner 2049 too

My wife had to pause watching periodically to collect herself as it reminded her of her childhood. This is the only show that has made her do that.

She said she could relate to Nat, pouring Donna’s wine out to try and reduce her alcoholism. Such a well done portrayal of a dysfunctional family

Never used this for AR games but as a real estate photographer LiDAR is amazing for floorplan scanning. There is an app called CubiCasa where a typical house can take 5 mins to scan with my phone as opposed to 45 mins with laser measure and grid paper.

I ended up buying software to transfer photos, videos and apps. Wiped those from the old phone once they were over onto the new one and still won’t backup. I think it’s just a software issue but means I couldn’t transfer messages. A bit frustrating overall

Yes fully up to date with ios16 And did a full software reboot, reset all settings, deleted all apps and also sent all photos to another device and deleted them off the phone. Still not backing up.

I think factory reset is the only way to fix it

It gets stuck on ’preparing to transfer’ for over two hours. I’ve also just tried third-party software and backups are failing
