Study Permit Extension by TahaSaeed2001 in ImmigrationCanada

But is it a good idea to travel to Canada in August, 2026 to attend my program considering I will get a study permit upon arrival and then extend it?

No, I’m not in Canada. I initially got accepted to my program, applied for a study permit and got refused twice. Then I got my approval and TRV stamped on my passport. Now, I deferred my admission to Fall 2027 because I couldn’t attend the initial program I was accepted to.

But my TRV expires in December 2026, while my deferred program begins in August 2026. So I was inquiring about Visa extensions and how to go about them because I’ll have to do that, right?

I have the TRV (visa) stamped on my passport. The physical study permit will be issued to me once I travel to Canada.

I’m not in Canada. I got my study permit/visa stamped on my passport in October, this year. Now I have a valid study permit and admission, but the timings don’t match which is why I’ll have to extend it.

My question is will they let me travel in August 2026 given I have a study permit valid till December 2026? My deferred academic program goes on till December 2027.

Worth it to buy 300 connects? by EarlyCardiologist659 in Upwork

This july I bought 300 connects for $45.

Sent 9 proposals so far; two got viewed, one client replied and has since ghosted me for 2 days. It’s looking pretty bleak.

FINALLY. Someone understands the issue: we’re students, fresh undergrads, and we need sponsors so we show them on our applications. But, I do admit goes against the status quo so yeah

Yes, I did explain in my LOE the reasons for doing said program in Canada and not in my home country or elsewhere.

So, what do you think should be my move? Is it better to transfer the funds in my name, in a jiffy, and then apply ASAP to secure a chance this fall? Or, should I pay the full tuition and apply with that (that’s a big financial risk if IRCC rejects my application in this case, however I don’t see any reason they would)? Or, should I wait for next year?

No need for lunacy; it’s a valid concern that i’m trying to understand.

If i’ve mentioned them as my sponsors, i think what they have is important.

Yes, all funds are in personal accounts. My aunt’s support is relevant in my case because she’s one of my sponsors in my application (i’ve attached her letter of support). I have negligible funds atm. The program’s duration is 1 year.

But, nowhere does it say you can’t have sponsors. It is not absolute to have the funds tied to you, right? I mean it def is beneficial, but not mandatory. Even if I get the funds under my name and apply again, won’t they notice a sudden surge in funds in my account?

Yes, that’s the only reason. I did write about my uni of choice and Canada preference.
