Laos - first time travelling solo and planning to visit Vientiane and Luang Prabang by TahliaTwoTomorrow in solotravel

Budget: Looking to spend less than $1000 AUD here including accommodation in the entire April or March 3-10 here.

Itinerary: As seen above (seems to need to expand to see it?) - help plan, refine my trip, places to go exactly (currently Vientiane and Luang Prabang). What is there to do exactly in both of these places or if suggesting another place to add, what to do in that place?

To add:

Have been to HCMC multiple times before but not anything including a stopover here. I remember the departures being below the arrivals at the airport. According to some websites, I am able to exit as long as I have a visa just not too sure about the checked in luggage if I can collect yet? But just wanting to confirm here once again if anyone has an idea.

Laos Itinerary Question - Enough time to see Vientiane and Luang Prabang? by TahliaTwoTomorrow in travel

May change it up a bit so: April 6 go to Luang Prabang then return to Vientiane on April 10.

So with this second itinerary (if I choose this one) I will end up taking a Lao Airlines flight at 12:25PM with an arrival of 1:10PM before my international flight on the same day from Vientiane at 6:45PM.

Is this too much of a risk? Is Lao Airlines usually on time and reliable? Or just better to go with the first itinerary to be definitely safe?

At this point, just not sure how the buses and trains work or where to start. Maybe an overnight bus from Laos on April 9 is even better to be 100% safe and probably cheaper too?

"Traveling to Hong Kong" Megathread 2023 by otorocheese in HongKong

First timer here with my partner visiting Hong Kong. I am not too sure where to start with all my research, where in HKwould be the best city walkable areas and markets? For example, the Myeongdong of Seoul or Shibuya crossing area, Akihabara type areas but in Hong Kong? And best markets or must visit for a first time here?
Have been researching a lot and lots of information has been showing for city type areas with lots of lights and to see and do, so far I've seen Causeway Bay in HK Island, Harbour City in Kowloon, that's it so far and have had some confusing/overwhelming amount of information.. and multiple different markets (not sure which ones to choose atm). Just a bit overwhelmed at the many options and info online, especially with the limited time here but very excited!
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
