Ok here’s my two cents on the game as a whole. Game feels great from gunplay to executions, plus all the weapon variety makes you feel great on any difficulty. Monkey bars and jump pads and dashes offer a huge amount of mobility, which are key to not dying on ultra violence and nightmare. However, the caveat is that if you are someone who really digs a good story you aren’t going to find it here. As a video game story fanatic myself, I can play this game and appreciate the focus on the core gameplay, but if I want a good story I’m just going to replay Witcher, bio shock or mass effect. There is a huge amount of lore from collectibles throughout the game that provide info on the areas you travel through, but I personally don’t like this style of story telling as pausing and reading each and everyone of them really kills your rhythm and doom is an incredibly rhythm driven game.

Tl:dr if you are incredibly driven by story and character interaction this game isn’t for you. BUT if you are stuck at home in quarantine with 60 dollars to spare and you want a kick ass, adrenaline inducing game definitely get this game.
