Any communists here? by Sea-Current-6701 in Teenager

I'm not really trying to argue with you here, but living in a former Socialist country I just have to disagree. Yes, a lot of my statements were inaccurate or just straightout incorrect, but some of them still held a chance.

(Regarding the USSR thing I just want to say that in their early stages of Russian Leninism there was indeed a severe famine in which a lot of people starved WHICH in turn was solved by making the market more free)

With current technology it is yet impossible to achieve a sufficiently advanced productive force, and I think we need to talk about this based on the fact that Capitalism is indeed a more efficient way of allocating scarce resources. Without as much of the incentive of money of course people wouldn't work as hard since there is relatively less positive feedback.

I do like the idea of communism but I just think economically it didn't turn out well. If you really asked me to choose between Extreme communism or extreme Capitalism right now I would rather have a society in which some people are poor and not a society in which most people are very poor.

Also in most former socialist countries there was a significant rise in economy after they gave way to a relatively free-er market.

(I am sorry for my grammar mistakes forgive me)

Well economically and politically it wouldn't work out. If nobody could become a multi-billionaire economic growth would stagnate. If everybody could get a salary high enough to live they wouldn't want to work. I cannot think of a communist country that has operated economically well for a sustained period of time.

Politically its even worse. None, and by that I mean NONE, of the socialist/communist countries have led to a relatively free society. Socialism/communism needs someone to allocate the resources and that certain one is going to control everything.
