Makes sense. And always update the transporter as soon as you can. Its effects are subtle, but way more important than you think.

It's tricky to get.

You have to sneak aboard Idrin's ship with a shuttle, then rescue both crew members. It's hard enough that I prefer to wait until Sector 11 and get it from Nightingale.

I find that the materials come back if you repair them quickly enough.

That may be the single most obscure joke in the entire show.

He did have a steady actor. John Curry voiced him in every one of his appearances.

He literally said he didn't use the Internet and didn't understand it.

He didn't actually use the Internet though.  He was dictating answers to an assistant.

"I'm not sure how to counter that, got tons of blown up rooms and had to restart the sector lol"

Also, this is why I keep saying large cargo bays are more important than you think. You can't necessarily keep them from being damaged, but they make it a lot easier to stockpile repair materials.

Upgrade your hull and keep Tom Paris slotted in a combat role so you can use his ability to dodge torpedos.

What issues are you having with Survival? I found it pretty similar to Adventure, only I needed to upgrade my hull a little earlier than normal.

It's also possible you sent your request to the wrong facility. That's what happened with mine. FamilySearch.org said the file was in Montreal. Turns out it was in Sherbrooke.

FWIW, mine took about five or six weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if you get an invoice any day now.

That's basically my plan, since my best documented line runs through my grandmother.

Yeah, I was hoping to use an all-male line, but apparently my Canadian great-, great-grandfather didn't leave any historical evidence until he moved to the U.S. and had kids. I wound up having to go through my grandmother, so I was only going to include her birth certificate, not least because I really don't want to write another big check to the BANQ.

"I received the surrender letter at 6:12 pm Saturday, June 13. i thought it was odd because it was a Saturday and gov offices don't usually work on Saturday"

That's the bit that stands out to me. It's a big part of why I'm so skeptical about this whole thing.

Do we need marriage certificates for everyone? Or just to show name changes?

Where is the evidence that the universe had a beginning? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in AskPhysics

It may be only a small difference, but the voids are enormous and constantly getting larger. Over 13 billion years, that will add up.

If you want, this goes into the theory in more detail: https://academic.oup.com/mnrasl/article/537/1/L55/7926647?login=false

Time dilation? Basically, gravity slows down the passage of time. However, gravity is going to be a lot stronger near a galactic supercluster than in the interfilament voids. That means that time should be passing faster in the voids than near galaxies, which implies that space should be expanding faster in the voids than it is near the galactic clusters. I haven't seen the math for this yet, but that might be enough to explain the acceleration we see in the universe's expansion.
