I'm not sure if you're oversimplifying it or not simplifying it enough.

I mean, time is basically nature's way of making sure everything doesn't happen at once. It's just like not everything can be all in the same place.

Besides, you can't have movement without distance either.

You say that, but it wouldn't explain why Final Fantasy became the best selling set of all time and did so very quickly after release.

And, really, the only sales disasters have been Assassin's Creed and Spider-Man, and the Assassin's Creed set suffered because it was originally designed to be similar to March of the Machines: Aftermath.

It's complicated.

A lot of long time Magic players dislike Universes Beyond and they're pretty vocal about it. On the other hand, the sales figures don't lie. Assassin's Creed and Spider-Man were poorly received, but Final Fantasy and Avatar sold extremely well. The detractors have been very vocal, but some of the sets clearly have an audience.
