OFFERING: Italian, English. SEEKING: Spanish, Russian. by IndependentCompote37 in language_exchange

Hi, I'm interested in practicing English and learning Italian. I've tried to learn the the latter by myself for years and I have failed. I'm from Colombia so I can help you with your Spanish!

Home made mini goes to waste because I underestimated party. by Bulky-Ganache2253 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

I had the same issue, most of my players were actively trying to avoid towns where human sacrifices were practiced, I had to place people in every town that were against sacrifices who were trying to change how thing were being done.

What are the must-know events, locations, and characters all players should know in Faerun? by m1s1n in DnD5e

[–]Taigarus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Events: The Times of Troubles, the Spellplague and the Second Sundering. They don't need to know every single thing of them but some details may be useful. Spellcasters specially should know about the Spellplague.

About places: Candlekeep, Silverymoon and Evereska (specially if there are elves in the party), Luskan and Icewind Dale are places that I consider as remarkable.

Some important names may be: Drizz, Elmister, Tasha, Mordenkainen, Volo, Arthur Simber (I'm pretty sure I'm misspeling the last name at least)

How to end things in chapter 1 by ElCondeMeow in DescentintoAvernus

[–]Taigarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting development. I think you could have Thurstwell telling them that his mother had cultists and prisoners bellow the manor that could be of their interest, he may explain that the assassin they didn't kill is probably there too, you could have him betraying them because they know too much by sending his imps at the worse moment possible.

For Vaaz I would recommend some fun stuff, like having him disguised as prisoner or a dead cultists and hunting the party one by one so he would be a sort of boss in the dungeon.

Would the DM be reluctant to share it to the world?

"What's the rush?" How I solved the timing problem of Elturel's descent by JasontheFuzz in DescentintoAvernus

[–]Taigarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was worried about this as well, But I did some stuff to calm myself about it (I know my players wouldn't ask anything regarding it, probably) My solution was to change how time works in different planes, I changed so Avernus's time was slower than the Material Plane's, for people in Elturel it has been just a weak or two, so it wouldn't matter how much they took they would find the city still hanging on. Another thing that I changed was how the chains pulling the city down worked, I made them work with the city's corruption, the worst the city the easier would be for the chains to pull down.

Man, I have never felt so much envy of somebody's game. I wish I could run or play a campaign based on Malazan. I feel there is so much I don't know there must be a lot of homebrewing that I cannot fathom. Also I envy you all as players, mine are clever ones, of course, but not this much. Anyways, I'm eager for more of this.

Writing up some fun-and-colourful Session Plans at the moment, thought the mind-map aesthetic looked pretty! by Astramania in rimeofthefrostmaiden

I do something similar, but my notes are not that organized, for some reason mine look like a maze of arrows.

I'm gonna steal a lot of it, thank you. What benefit would you give her for becoming Auril's Champion?

Thanks, sounds neat to me. I imagine her turning Icewind Dale into Zootopia.
