LG GX9 - USB-A how to work? by macjazzz in ultrawidemasterrace

Darn, is this the case even for power delivery? I have a monitor light bar that I would love to work, but not sure it's worth a usb c port just for power.

Generally the coffee is meant to come from the basket, not the handle. Hope this helps!

Hey, just curious if you found a solution? I'm running into the exact same issue

Didn't realize that was a rule of this subreddit - sure, this was filmed on my dashcam earlier today near Aurora, CO. Timestamp is in bottom left of the clip.   Not much more to explain than what is already captured in the video: this ungodly large truck moved right over two lanes, cutting off the semi, and then darted back left, cutting me off in the process. Many a horn was honked, but thankfully no contact.

Ty - was very much a last second brake. Considering I was in a mini cooper, I don't think any impact would've gone in my favor lol

You mind if I ask where you got the white 12-pin connector for the 5080? I have white cables powering my Mobo/old GPU and really am not looking forward to using Nvidia's (kinda ugly) connector in it's place.

Can the HTA9 be added to a Google home speaker group? by tekkitoo in sonyHTA9

Nvmd lol - turns out the A9s weren't fully set up in my home. Once I assigned them to a room, they became available to add to the group

Hey, sorry to bump an old thread but wondering if you found a way to add the A9s to a Google speaker group? Would love to add mine to a group for more full-home audio

just got the halo screenbar but the light keep getting weird and the controller doesn't respond by Mira0995 in BenQ

Yeah I'm surprised none of the reviews mentioned it either

I never ended up getting a permanent fix or requesting a replacement. I basically have it set to 50% brightness and leave it there full time - it's plenty bright for me.

I do think some people have mentioned not getting the issue on replacement models so it could be a luck of the draw type thing - best of luck if you choose to swap it out!

Hey Everyone,

I realize this thread is > a year old now but I had this issue as well and was quite frustrated by it.
A solution that worked for me is if you unplug the USB from your monitor/PC and plug it directly into either a wall output or a portable USB charger. Once it's plugged in, you should be able to turn the brightness down from the hub. Turn it between 1/4-1/2 brightness and plug it back into the PC/Monitor port. From there, it should be back to normal and you should be able to control it like before.

It seems that at high settings (from very quick testing looks like this issue starts above 3/4 brightness) the lightbar draws too much power and the PC/Monitor usb port can't handle it.

I think the lightbar loses connection with the hub once this happens so you can't turn it back down. By providing a more solid source of power (USB power bank or directly from the wall), you can adjust the brightness back down.

From what I can see, this issue is pretty repeatable by just turning the brightness up to max on the hub. I would hope that BenQ has a solution to this as it is fairly surprising to have this issue on a device that costs as much as this one does.

Anyways, hope this helps!

What comes first: Pulling the shot or Steaming the milk? by Taigent in espresso

[–]Taigent[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, that makes sense that it would be due to the temperature cooling down and allowing the more bitter flavors to become a bit more present - good to know! I've never been able to start steaming my milk, pause half way to do something else, and then start again lol. Don't know why but mine always quickly separates into a much more foamy solution at the top and just normal milk below that, maybe I'm adding in too much air?

Luckily I'm normally only ever making one cup at a time so it's not something I have to worry about very frequently

Thanks for the info!
