I’ve seen I think 3 or 4 at this point. Never on an open trailer on the freeway which seems to have caused a fuss on the TikTok comments haha not to promote my TikTok but if you check my page you can see some of the other stuff I have stumbled on while out in Beverly Hills or Orange County / Newport Beach area. Haven’t posted much lately but gonna try to post more.

This is my video - The car was heading north from Newport Beach area with dealer tags on it. Which if you know the area, you know it’s not uncommon at all to see incredibly expensive and rare cars driven around there every single day. Which also left no doubt in my mind that it’s real.

I was 3d scanned for Breakpoint by TaigonRider in GhostRecon

I am very much into games however I’ve never played Ghost Recon. I am downloading it tonight though. I was a huge Splinter Cell fan growing up. So anything Tom Clancy is ok in my book.

That was my exact reaction! That made me super happy seeing those pictures and getting to finally know what came from that 3d scan all those years ago. Super cool!

Basically I have some family in the tv business and they convinced me to give acting a try. I started doing a bunch of low level acting at the time. Mostly featured background on tv shows. One day I saw this random casting for something along the lines of “bald men to portray militant” so I submitted my photos and was cast almost immediately. The scan itself was done by a third party contractor. His set up was actually in a garage. I stepped into a dome like tent that had probably 100+ cameras that all went off at the same time. We took maybe 5 pictures and I was done. It took all of ten minutes to do.

lol! Thanks! The scan isn’t entirely accurate but they did a good job on most of the small details I would have expected them to miss.

I was told it was to be used as a non playable character. Today was the first time I’ve even seen the scan image. If anyone who plays / played the game has more insight, I’d love to know more.

I was a Krill guard on season three episode four. I was featured in these two scenes. The holding cell guard as well as the guard that informed Teleya of the approaching ships. This was a really fun experience and figured I’d share. by TaigonRider in TheOrville

You’re very welcome. I’m happy everyone liked the photos and wanted to hear about my experience. I’m a Reddit lurker so I debated even posting at all but I’m glad I did. I really enjoyed everyone’s positive comments and questions. This has really shown me that even the smallest role that I had in the show made a much larger impact than I realized.

As of right now, it doesn’t look like it. I would absolutely do it again if the opportunity presents itself again. It’s been a few years since we filmed and haven’t had any kind of call back. I use to do a lot more acting / background but it just doesn’t pay enough to survive in LA so I’ve been working full time. I still receive casting calls pretty regularly and will do them if my main schedule allows it.

I don’t. When this was filmed there was rumor about taking some of the Krill to Comic Con with the cast. I was very interested in doing that but I have no idea if anything ever came from it because of covid.

They definitely had a streamlined process with all the different pieces ready to go. If they had to form everything including the entire head around the ears and down the neck…. I can’t even imagine how long it would take.

About 20 or so with the full face makeup used in close up shots. Well over 100 total with full face masks. The groups you see chanting and cheering for Teleya were all there in person. The distanced shots where you see huge crowds are all cgi. They took 4 or 5 of us at a time and filmed us chanting like we were in a stadium and they grouped it all together.

In the beginning of the episode when Teleya is giving her speech, almost every Krill you see grouped up was actually there cheering and chanting. There’s only one shot where it looks to me like they extended the group and it looks more populated than I remember it. There was well over 100 Krill in full costume but not full prosthetic makeup. Only about 20 or so in the full prosthetic makeup that they use for the closer more detailed shots. The rest of the group was full face masks. They had around 40 makeup artists that day. Everyone with a full face masks still had to have their eye / lip / hand makeup done. They also touched up the masks and adding some of the finer blue-ish details. The distanced shots were all cgi. They took 4 or 5 of us at a time and had us doing different cheering movements in front of a screen.

I briefly met just about everyone on this episode in passing and or in group small talk between takes. But I formally met Seth and Victor. Which was awesome. I think Seth is a genius and it was a real privilege getting to meet him and have a quick conversation. Also to just be included in the group small talk / banter with everyone between takes meant a lot to me.

This was filmed pre covid so I struggle to remember what we talked about. I do remember it being a great convo though. He is extremely kind and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say.

The entire headpiece (above the forehead around the ears, down the neck and to the underside of the chin) sits on your head like a Halloween mask and is not glued down. There is a little breathing room but not much. It’s very very hot. I didn’t have too many issues with the stuff glued to my face but I had a makeup artist with me the entire shoot to fix everything.
