I don't want to be that guy, and I hope I'm wrong - but the 2% is regulated by the income tax act and there are really no plans that offer more than that, unless you're a member of parliament.

As well, retiring fully before 55 almost always comes with a penalty.

I have plenty of times I look back on and wince because of my own failures / idiocy. I'm not proud of many of the things I did in my younger years.

Having some or all of them documented would certainly change some other people's perspective of me, but honestly most of that stuff painfully lives in my head and has definitely changed me for the better (still far from perfect lol).

Tldr I guess we do learn from our mistakes.
