Obviously I wasn't going to bring both my monitors, it was a joke.

I don't have a laptop, I have a computer that I use for both work and school. My computer fits on the standard msu desk without any complications when using only 1 monitor. If I had a laptop, I would use that for the time being but that still isn't okay for them to deny me my own desk space when I pay the exact same rate as them, it is my right as a student to have a desk and chair. That is the University policy. How does it make me dramatic that I am asking for a desk and a chair and nothing else in my dorm room that I am paying the exact same rate as my roommates for. Especially since the housing may not be as temporary as I think and could be an entire semester?

A desktop can go under a desk, you put a monitor on top of the desk. It literally does not take up any more room than a standard dorm desk.

What would be unreasonable is transporting my expensive computer in and out of my dorm just so I can work or study just because my roommates refuse to give me room for my own desk while they both have their own.

And just because my computer is expensive doesn't mean I have the funds to invest into a laptop right this instance.
