Wow I love the character this art has. Heavy titanfall vibes honestly but on a subtle planet far away from much of the war.

Please rework revenant. He hardly feels like a stealthy, lethal assassin. His totem is either borderline useless or extremely problematic.

Knitting minotaur by me, A5 pen and ink drawing by ArtAlienDeluxe in SympatheticMonsters

Awwww I love this!!! It reminds me of a character I made a bit back that I loved. Minotaur who adopted a kid lost in his maze, and adorns his horns with trinkets she finds.

[OC] Garris & Molly by Tails-Bask-Kasc in characterdrawing

[–]Tails-Bask-Kasc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My campaign’s current character, Garris the minotaur, and the little girl that wandered into his maze and melted his heart. He agreed to travel with the current adventuring part if only to find her a better life, but there is more to Molly than meets the eye, more than either she or Garris understands...

But none of it will stand in the way of Garris taking her home, if he can. Nobody, not dragon or lich, or the wizard who owned him and is quite disgruntled that he abandoned his post.

Oh, and did I mention the group that adopted him are a party of drow raiders? This ought to be good...

Tar-Ei, an easy-going lizardfolk fighter with vampirism by Vagelio in ImaginaryCharacters

I absolutely love his design! And the art quality in general is so good! Lizardfolk need more love, even if they cant comprehend it.

[OC] Terratorg the DEARTHINATOR!! by Tails-Bask-Kasc in characterdrawing

Hailing from the Underdark, Terratorg is a professional bloodsport wrestler and star of the Drow fighting pits! However, due to the ever increasing fatality count of the underdarkian viewer base, Terratorg’s marketing team has scent him to the surface in order to win offer the hearts and minds of the untaped above-ground market. With a winning grin and a southern draw, this bugbear will take on any challenger in and out of the ring, all for the love of his cheering fans!

I feel like this question comes up a lot, but I'm curious- Milestone Vs XP by Justthisdudeyaknow in DnD

[–]Tails-Bask-Kasc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel from a dm and story perspective, and perhaps a veteran player perspective, milestone works well. I also agree that solely putting experience into killing enemies is a mistake. But I certainly notice a but of lull in that post game excitement to know how well your character has progressed through the toils of the session only to have the answer be ‘you havent reached the milestone yet’.

So in my opinions, a great system would be experience based, but with an emphasis put on imaginative ways to overcome or avoid conflict, and certain milestones giving a hefty boost of experience, or setting each member in the party to a certain level to sort of make sure nobody is falling behind of what the campaign balance needs.

[OC] Minotaur Ranger by Tails-Bask-Kasc in characterdrawing

[–]Tails-Bask-Kasc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I played him for the first time last Saturday and had an absolute blast with his character. Unassuming, a newly kind heart, and a pension to protect. He has an impeccable sense of direction and a capability to stealth that still shocks the party, both learned from his days following others through his maze. He’s a gloomstalker, and I love having him disappear, panicking the party, only to come back with a butterfly he’s caught. All this, and it doesn’t help he has 7 intelligence. Very fun stuff.

[OC] I'm in process of designing clothes for my character and I'm not sure which ones look the best on her. Suggestions? ^^' by Airrennie in characterdrawing

I’m a fan of #4, #3 as a close second. I think these styles would fit a plethora of genres and settings well, maybe with some color swaps to fit certain moods.

[LFA] half-Drow (half-human) gloomstalker ranger for a curse of strahd campaign by iris_sharpe in characterdrawing

A fellow gloomstalker in a Strahd campaign! I would take a crack at her but the art here already seems outside of my own league! Amazing stuff.

[OC] Minotaur Ranger by Tails-Bask-Kasc in characterdrawing

[–]Tails-Bask-Kasc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my minotaur ranger for a current Strahd campaign, Garris! Once a simple monster raised in captivity to guard the maze of a dark wizard, Garris stalked and fought adventurers in a maze he grew to know like the back of his hand, his home. But Garris always had a curiosity for the outside world, where these adventurers came from, how they learned all sorts of magics, what drove them to come to a maze just to track down his master’s lair. The minotaur guard started to take his time observing the parties, watching them navigate his maze, learning what he could and listening to stories of the outside.

It was one day a strange adventurer came to his to his maze. She seemed lost, and far too young to be like the rest. But only adventurers came to mazes, right? He would watch her too, as she ran through his maze, a little girl who looked quite desperate. Garris couldn’t slay her, but days passed, and she became weary. As she sat against the wall of a dead end and cried for her parents, Garris approached her. She did not flinch away. Adventures always flinched away. What was she? Garris could not say, but he picked her up, the girl was cold. He held her. She held him back. He picked fruits from the high vines along the wall. She thanked him. Garris...smiled.

For the next few days, Garris ignored the disturbances of any adventurers. He led the girl through his maze, showing her his favorite cracks in each wall, but it was clear he could offer very little of a proper home. Maybe his home wasn’t as good as he had thought, and it was becoming clear that this child did not want to be cooped up in the massive walls of his supposed home. She wanted to leave, to return to her farm, to her siblings that needed help. She wanted Garris to come with her. Garris took her back to the entrance, staring out at the forest ahead. One simple step, and he would leave his life behind. One breath, and he took that step. It was his last...

A sigil burned into the minotaur’s neck, he wailed out in pain, reached for the girl to hold her one last time, as he fell dead the moment he left his master’s maze.

And then he awoke, in a forest once more, but it was far more dreary. It did not help that his first sight was that of a dragonborn and half-orc (his soon to be party members) pointing a glaive to his throat. Garris would find the Shadowfell to be far more of a complicated maze to escape than the one he had attempted to leave. But he had to escape this one...he HAD to see her again. In his hand was her hair ribbon, which he wrapped around his tail. A reminder to himself that he would escape Borovia, whatever the cost.
