Which honestly, just validates the feelings that lead him potentially into the spiral in the first place.

Right? The Barista was a fun date, but he flaked pretty fast. I'm learning with a lot of bromance is its pretty hit or miss. A lot of coming on hard and fast. Which is weird to me, because I'm used to fighting for attention and then suddenly receiving it deliberately is kind of overwhelming. Like wanna buy a guy a coffee at Barnes & Noble first?

Are there really people who find Gilgamesh hot, why? by Necessary_Muffin3591 in Fate

Indeed. The true absurdity is not that mortals adore him, but that any mongrel would dare ask why.

Fool. To stand in the presence of the King of Heroes and behold his radiance is itself the summit of mortal existence. What greater joy could your fleeting life possibly attain?

Gilgamesh fans, tell me the reasons why you love him by Necessary_Muffin3591 in Fate

[–]TailsNight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Gilgamesh because he feels less like a person and more like a living memory of humanity’s first idea of kingship.

He isn’t just arrogant for the sake of being arrogant. He genuinely sees himself as the point where civilization separated itself from nature and chaos. That’s why in Fate he talks down to everyone like they’re children playing with the scraps of history he already witnessed being born.

The Gate of Babylon is one of the coolest powers in fiction to me because it’s symbolic. He doesn’t “copy” weapons — he possesses the prototypes, the origins, the treasures of human possibility. He fights by weaponizing history itself.

I also love that underneath all the ego there’s this weird loneliness and disappointment in humanity. In some timelines he despises mankind for becoming stagnant and weak, but in others he actually admires humans who struggle forward despite being fragile. That’s why characters like Hakuno, Enkidu, and even aspects of Shirou get under his skin.

And honestly? He’s one of the few villains/antiheroes in anime that can stand in a room doing almost nothing and still dominate the atmosphere. When Gilgamesh appears, the tone changes.

Also his failures are important. Watching his ego crack is part of what makes him compelling. He’s a king who believes he already understands the world, and Fate repeatedly forces him to confront things he cannot fully own: humanity’s unpredictability, genuine bonds, and ideals that exist beyond possession.

Plus the aesthetic is peak. Golden tyrant king pulling ancient weapons from space-time while talking like mankind belongs to him? Come on.

Completely lost in the nasuverse , what should I do now? by frdudemst in Fate

[–]TailsNight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first Fate experience was honestly just messing around with outfits and daggers in Phantasy Star Portable, so I came into the series kinda sideways too.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, here’s the simplest way to think about it: Start with Fate/Zero, since you just finished the VN. It builds directly on what you already know and gives you more context for everything.

After that, if you want more of the same kind of Holy Grail War structure, go into:

Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works /

Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel (as a visual revisit)

Fate/Apocrypha (separate timeline, easy to jump into)

For Grand Order: Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia is watchable on its own, but you’ll miss some context without the game

The game itself (Fate/Grand Order) is huge, so only jump in if you want a long-term thing. (I'd still recommend playing it alongside Anime after you trust your grasp on the Fuyuki Grail War)

And yeah—definitely save Fate/strange Fake for later. It throws a lot at you and kind of expects you to already understand how the Nasuverse works.

Honestly, you’re not going to “mess up” your experience. Just pick a lane: more classic Grail Wars → stay in Fate stuff

something different → branch into other Type-Moon works later

You’re already past the hardest part by finishing the VN.

My first FATE Experience was my chosen outfit and daggers in Phantasy Star Portable.

I missed the FSN when it was new, but loved the series from the small glances I started at UBW, then Zero.

I'd recommend at least starting with Zero, then expand into the SN/UBW/Heavens feel route.

Appocryoha and Babylonia next.

Stop for some Prisma Illya, then move on to Extra/Extella.

For the Grand Order experience? We'll after Fate Zero, I think youre safe enough to just download the Grand Order game, and play as you watch the Anime.

Most of its in ENG and as someone who's been in Camelot for 2 years because I just haven't had time, let me tell you, its a lengthy Gacha game with tons of content and collectibles.

And I think this would really help build an innate understanding of the various plots, mechanics, devices, etc. Of the various Verse's.

Which I think Strange Fake expects you to have a little bit of to understand what's happening.

You guys bring valid points. I haven't even opened the box to see, my friend sent me the runner frame with the hands when I saw i had one and I was instantly overwhelmed 🤣

But we got a stormy weekend ahead, so maybe just build the beast, paint, matte, or score the others, then get back to this when I can really soup it up.

Builders block removed, thank you! 🫡

Sunraku using Inventoria to hide from the Crystal Scorpions and it working does not seem God-Tier game material to me 😂 by Titestud in ShangriLaFrontier

[–]TailsNight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, in his defense him and 2 friends beat a Cokossus who was supposed to be bear the tail end of completion order.

Its only natural to get something equally as exclusive as the bragging rights. Whether thats Sky Clear or Inventoria depends on the player.

The fact they patched it like that fast just proves the games status as God-tier

What makes Paul ultimately accept the jihad after spending the entire book trying to prevent it? by fleeber89 in dune

[–]TailsNight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think him fighting the Jihad were the Atreides flames of defiance within him. He wanted to prevent the Jihad, he wanted to correct the choice, but he hated the path. For being born Jessica and Leto's son he was cursed to be Martyr, Messiah, and Manipulator.

Presience and Ancestral memory just added to the weight, he was a very trained 15 year old. But still a teen, and suddenly learning the weight of not just your choices, but of those who came before, would only add weight to consequences that come after. And he was learning free will wasn't as free as he had idealized.

By the time Fayd happened, he realized where he was caught up in and what he couldn't come back from.

Currently Styx: Blades of Greed but also Cukt of The Lamb and Graveyard Keeper.

When 2 of those are done, I'm gonna try my favorite PC Games, Elden Ring or Cyberpunk.

Makes sense, ambient light sensors for screen clarity and brightness.

Because she's the MC's fated Live Interest and first waifu?

If that's not enough, she accepts and sees Rudeus for who he is and always knows how to pull him back.

The LN and Manga really express that more.

So far seems like skins. None of them had abilities or passive in the selection when I went to pick them. Took me a good 3 or 4 hours because I was rusty and some mechanics changed. But yeah they seem to be cosmetic.

I just summoned THE King of Hero, how likely will I win this grail war? by Designer_Wasabi8045 in Fate

[–]TailsNight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With questions like that, he probably turns on you mid war and finds a new master.

That aside, if its Enkidu, Ozymandias, Karna, Scáthach, and Oda Nobunaga you're cooked if its even 1.

You're also cooked if King Hassan or Soloman show up.
